Kalua Boutique Bungalows

I had such an amazing stay at this beautiful bungalow in Gili Trawangan! The team truly made my experience unforgettable, with an extra special touch for my birthday that meant so much to me. I honestly can’t thank them enough for making this moment so memorable. Everything was perfect: the accommodation, the warm welcome, the kindness and attentiveness of the entire team. I felt so well looked after from beginning to end. A truly wonderful place with wonderful people. I’ll always have very special memories of my time here and would come back without hesitation. Thank you so much for everything! ❤️

We stayed here for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The location was incredibly convenient—only about a 5-minute walk from the harbour, which meant we could easily walk with our luggage instead of paying for a horse cart. The villa is tucked away just off the main road, so it feels peaceful while still being close to everything. There was a restaurant across the road, a laundry right next door, convenience stores nearby, and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We booked one of the larger deluxe rooms, and it was very spacious. There was plenty of room for two people and all of our luggage, a comfortable day bed, beautiful Balinese furniture, a safe, and a large bathroom with a spacious shower and reliable hot water. We also really enjoyed the private terrace, which had two comfortable chairs, a table, and even a drying rack—very handy after swimming or snorkeling. Breakfast was another highlight. Instead of having a restaurant, you choose from several breakfast options each day and select the time you’d like it delivered. It was so relaxing to enjoy breakfast on our own terrace each morning. The property also has a lovely little pool that’s partly shaded and partly in the sun, perfect for cooling off during the day. There’s also a cute little shop on-site selling clothes and jewellery, and the friendly cats wandering around made the place feel even more charming. The biggest highlight, though, was the staff. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. I especially want to say a huge thank you for organising the transfer of the charger I accidentally left behind to Bali. I truly appreciate the extra effort you went to—it meant so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful. I would definitely recommend staying here and would happily return in the future.

We were in the corner of the property so adjacent to the road and it occasionally got noisy at night but that only happened on the first night we were there which was a Friday. Otherwise, it was fine.

Pool was great.

No wifi hotel gave different options to connect to wifi none of them working both our mobiles on different providers also slow in this location so wifi was needed. I reached out to hotel staff on whatsapp but they only responded at 9am 5 minutes after we checked out. No hot water well some if you turn the tap all the way to cold but the pressure is so low that you can't get wet. Having a cold shower wasn't so bad. I did turn on the tap in the morning and it might have better pressure if you shower in the morning but don't try at 10pm. Booking said including breakfast i reached out to the hotel on the whatapp number provided for assistance at night trying to work out how to arrange breakfast but no response. I couldn't see any restaurant or anywhere to eat breakfast so maybe this is an incorrect listing. But if you stay here plan on having breakfast somewhere else as breakfast isn't included.
