Pennystella Apartments

The location is beautiful, with amazing views of two nearby bays and beaches. The pool is quite large, the rooms are well equipped, and the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned every day. The restaurant serves delicious Greek food, and it is definitely worth trying. We especially enjoyed the white house wine. Despite small drawbacks, we really enjoyed our stay. The views, atmosphere, hospitality, food, and overall experience were excellent. We would gladly stay here again.

There were a few minor issues. The mosquito net in our bathroom had holes, which allowed mosquitoes and flies to enter the room. Unfortunately, we were bitten several times during the night, including our daughter. The bathroom ventilation could also be improved. The window opens toward the terrace. Air circulation carries odors into the room. In addition, the window shutters can make noise during windy nights. The property is located in a windy area. The temperature often feels a few degrees cooler than at sea level in the nearby towns. This can be a great advantage during the hottest summer days, but in cooler periods it may feel less comfortable. Because of this, the pool water was rather cold during our stay in early June.

Sowohl das Frühstück als auch alle anderen Speisen waren vorzüglich und mit Liebe zubereitet! Für die Reinigung des Zimmers wurde regelmäßig gesorgt! Der Ausblick vom Balkon und der Terrasse des Restaurants ist außergewöhnlich schön. Die Inhaber und das Personal kümmern sich sehr herzlich um das Wohl der Gäste.

Nous sommes une famille de quatre et nous avions réservé un appartement avec une chambre séparée. A notre arrivée nous avons eu plusieurs surprises : absence de climatisation dans la chambre en plein mois d’août en Crète, absence de wifi dans le logement, la poignée de la port de la salle de bains était cassée, trois chaises pour quatre sur le balcon, et le dernier lit est un lit d'appoint qui grince à chaque fois que l'on se retourne ! Il était indiqué qu'il y aurait des articles de toilettes et nous avons eu un minuscule échantillon pour quatre pour quatre nuits ! Quand nous faisions part de nos remarques aux propriétaires, ils nous trouvaient trop exigeants et étaient peu patients pour nous comprendre.
