An overall wonderful hotel with potential to be excellent.

The hotel is really nice, huge pool in the middle of the ressort and a really great beach bar that can be accessed by the shuttle service. Room was very spacious and we loved the interior a lot, the outdoor pool in the room was very nice and the outdoor seating area is just amazing. The staff has been very nice and sweet and „wishes“ and requests have been fullfilled with dedication and efficiency. We specially loved the beach crew that was doing an amazing job with a big smile, huge thank you to all of them. The design of the entry area is truly impressive with a magnificent gate leading into the ressort overall it is very very beautiful if you dont focus on closer details.

Easy fix maybe: the supply of drinkable water was a bit limited and the bottle from the bathroom was brought over to the bed by housekeeping in the evening which felt a bit like the hotel did not want to supply sufficient cleant water for free. Besides the breakfast, which was great, we preferred other locations over this restaurant at dinner. The Shower is partially outdoors and has a gap on top that allows mosquitoes to get in and the mosquito net around the bed does not fully close - so compared to the first 8 nights, we have been eaten up here despite spraying. The AC had a constant dripping leaving little puddles in the room, not a big problem but a bit nasty to step in or have it drip on luggage. The staff at the hotel pool, even tho we liked the people a lot, was not the most attentive and service quality deviated, tables not cleaned - this is totally fine but considering the significantly higher costs than other 5* we would expect an increase in service quality which we experienced at comparable Places (including their beach bar). Gym is totally okay but too little room and cramped with equipment that is a little below expected standard. No biggie but with 3 people training at the same time - space was quickly limited. They sprayed anti-insect spray without information resulting in concerns that the hotel is on fire when it the first time occured, we have then been informed that it is only „poison“ which I hope was safe to have inhaled while in the pool. A pre info may help.

It was the best way to spend our last days in our honey moon.

The place was so clean. Everyday you’d see that the facilities were kept tidy and clean. There’s a bit of mosquitoes but the staff always provide mosquito repellent if you need. We had a private pool to our villa and it was one of the best experiences of my life. It had a big bathtub that could fit a tall person like me and had two showers which were incredible. The food is fantastic and yummy.

There were times when the waiters didn’t understand English so we had a problem during breakfast but that was the only problem.

Fantastic relaxing romantic break in a lovely private villa with own pool.

Lovely ambience. Excellent customer service throughout our stay. The villa was exactly as advertised - very comfortable bed with your choice of pillows. Very spacious, private and had everything you needed. The extra touches for a special birthday and anniversary really made the stay memorable. The spa experience was exceptional and very relaxing. The breakfast choice was extensive and the food in the restaurant very good. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing stay!

The Hotel is really great, the welcome ceremony added a very special touch to the stay. The villa was superb, big room, quiet, and the staff were amazing, smiling, always a good word here and there to make sure the stay is perfect. The breakfast was very well serviced. The private beach easy to access, even by walk, with great drinks. The spa was so relaxing. Special thanks to Alvin with the luggages and transportation arrangement to the beach, the mall, and the airport.

Fantastic stay at amarterra! One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed in

One of the most magical places I’ve ever stayed in. Will come back again in a heartbeat. The private pool, the villa, everything was so tastefully and beautifully done. Had a wonderful stay here and was sad to leave so soon!

Our villa was quite inside the property so there was alot of traffic noise early morning, which would start around 7am. Also the staff quarters right next to the private pool didn’t seem all that private.

Delightful accommodations and staff.

A quiet and well laid out set of pool villas. Lovely gardens and huge public pool. Restaurant has in and outdoor dining and overlooks peaceful reflection ponds. Staff all uber friendly and helpful. Possible to walk dirty back alley to beach but a shuttle is offered hourly to special fenced, serviced Amarterra beachclub area. Villas are huge and pool area is generous.

We didn’t feel that ‘real’ Indonesian food was on offer. While Westerners might worry about chilli and heat, some tasty options would be appreciated. We tried a range of curries and dishes like nasi goreng which were bland and there was sense they were cooked well ahead and somewhat reheated. Some chef training in order perhaps. We didn’t want to eat out but felt we had no option.

Great stay at Amarterra

We had a great stay at Amarterra. Spacious private pool-Villas with very pleasant design. Super friendly staff and great restaurant! Restaurant crew is also very considerate regarding food allergies.

Even though it is very clean, there are some very minor improvement possibilities for housekeeping (e.g. not changing the customers a/c setting, not removing hand towels without being asked for etc.). But these are very minor points - everything else was perfect and high class.

Lovely villas and great staff

The villa was beautiful and perfect for our family of three (with two year old child). We spent many hours swimming in our pool and enjoying sitting outside in the cabana. The staff were incredibly attentive and very friendly and made the stay extra special for us. The location was good although we had a scooter so were able to get around pretty easily.

The pool was under construction for the week we stayed, which was a real shame as it killed the vibe of the hotel and meant everyone pretty much stayed in their villas. It meant the spa was out of action and yoga was done in a separate villa (not by the pool). It was also hard with our son as we were hoping he could have a communal place to swim and play with the other kids. We were able to go to the Ritz Carlton and use their facilities which was beautiful, but not very convenient. I think the property should have let us know before arriving that the pool was out of order and possibly offered a discount. I’m sure when the pool is all finished it will be fantastic however it is the reason I haven’t given the stay 10 stars.

Floating breakfast in the pool was good. The Bali collection area is within walking distance from the resort. There is a shuttle service to the beach, and the hotel also has a bar counter for guests at the beach.

Very good, amazing for relaxation in the quiet part of Bali

-general vibe of the hotel - quiet, luxurious, well-maintained -nice and helpful stuff -amazing yoga -good food -delicious and refreshing welcome drink -the common parts of the hotel are simply beautiful -it’s not typical resort like a lot of them in the neighbourhood is more quiet, more boutique I really regret that we didn’t have time to use the spa

-no main swimming pool + beach is a bit far away -no shower outside in the pool area at the villa -it’s good that they provide free bicycle but they should be better maintained

Amazing Experience

The hospitality provided by the staff really made our experience amazing and unforgettable. Upon arrival, we were treated like VIP guests. The food at the hotel was great, and the services that the hotel had available to guests really made it extremely comfortable. Definitely will come back again.

Too expensive for an above average accommodation

Great staff, we had noise issues in our initial villa and the manager, Julian gladly moved us to another villa. He also sent us flowers, refreshments and gave us a free transport to our next location. Restaurant staff was also great. Villa is spacious, nice pool, nice bathroom and amenities. Room was clean and they also had a turn down service which was great. Again, I would give the staff top marks. The location of the resort is good, walking distance to Bali collection.

The property is relatively small, nothing much to explore or to spend the day. The villa is spacious but for the price, nothing really stands out. I booked another 7 star resort at more or less the same price so I wasn’t impressed. Only one restaurant! The menu is okish but you definitely cannot eat here everyday. Breakfast is ala carte (made to order) but had decent options. I understand this setup because they only have 32 villas but again, just one restaurant for the price was a let down. This is not a beach front property, but they will gladly drive you to their private beach area which is a 5 minute drive. Drinks and refreshments are available at the beach and it is attached to the public beach.

Overall, the property was clean, nicely decorated and the staff were friendly. The staff at the property were very friendly and greet guests when they see them passing by every time. This goes for the staff working at restaurant as well. Any housekeeping requests were taken care of promptly. Overall, our family enjoyed the stay in a villa at this property.

We received a couple bath towels that should be taken out of circulation due to stains. The villa we got needed some attention in terms of maintenance. Electrical line for swimming pool caused power outage to our villa during one night but taken care of within half an hour. A/C wouldn’t turn on in master bedroom and someone came and fixed it promptly as well.
