Bangkok Tree House Bang Kachao

This is the FIRST time ever I’ve stayed in the middle of a JUNGLE and in a TREEHOUSE! 🌿🌳 And by far, it has been one of the most amazing experiences and adventures. The place is located around 45 minutes to 1 hour from Suvarnabhumi Airport, yet once you’re there, it genuinely feels like you’ve escaped Bangkok completely. The rooms are fantastic exactly how you see them in the photos. You enter into a small foyer on the ground floor with an open glass washroom. Take the stairs up and you reach the bedroom on the first floor, along with a private balcony. From the balcony, another set of stairs takes you all the way up to the rooftop, where there’s a net you can literally lie down on and just enjoy being surrounded by the jungle. One warning though: MOSQUITOES. 🦟 Come prepared! Now, something VERY important that I didn’t see anyone mention before visiting: The car does NOT reach the property. Car access ends near the graveyard/temple before the property. From there, you park and walk roughly 300 metres through the jungle, carrying your luggage with you until you reach the treehouse. During the day? Absolutely fine. But if you decide to go out, party, and come back at 2–3 AM… that 300-metre walk through the dark jungle, past the graveyard, suddenly becomes one of the spookiest walks home you’ll ever experience. 😂 Apart from that, this place is an absolute MUST-VISIT if you want to experience something completely different while in Bangkok. Fun fact: Even some local Thais don’t know this place exists in Bangkok. 🌿

Nothing to DISLIKE

It’s quirky and we enjoyed the privacy that came with having a mini house and a shower that could be opened onto the palm groves. The staff are extremely friendly and the breakfasts good. We enjoyed seeing the water monitors swimming past our breakfast table when the tide was high. The free bikes are a necessity for getting round the island and made visiting the floating market very easy - although it is only open at weekends . It is worth noting that food is difficult to get hold of after 6pm but that can be solved by taking the 5 baht ferry to the other bank and eating at the Siliwat seafood restaurant. If you want to visit the rest of Bangkok then it takes almost an hour from the hotel to get to the nearest BTS station. So a place to get away from urban Bangkok not a base for seeing the sights of Bangkok. The cats are great too.

Not a problem for us but the toilets are on a different floor to the bedroom and the stairs are steep.

Very lovely place, quiet area good food, great shower.
