Staff in restaurant a bit rude

The staff of the inn itself (and it's important to make this distinction) were very friendly, and even left us flowers and a sweet letter for our honeymoon on our arrival. The place was good value-for-money when we stayed there (end of June). It was in a convenient location relatively close to a lot of the main areas of Bangkok.

Room was smaller than we expected and had some small issues. Bathroom sink wad damaged, not enough toilet paper, shower was weak and had limited amount of hot water. There is no reception! We didn't know who to contact if we needed anything. We met our (I think it was...) our host on our arrival and on departure. Other than that there were no staff we met. The inn is on the second & third floor of a restaurant which we didn't know in advance. The restaurant wasn't very busy during our stay but it wasn't really comfortable to walk in just to pass to our room. The restaurant had a separate stuff and didn't seem related to the inn. The staff were kind of cold and strange so we minimized our interaction with them although we tried to be friendly at first.

The staff was amazing Don and the team so kind and always there to help. It was also a perfect room to stay with my dog. The bed was very comfortable and I felt very safe at the hotel.

Location, quirkiness of the inn, friendliness of staff, acceptable cleanliness, loved the instrumental music and lemongrass smell upon arriving into the room, staff accommodating and helpful

Unfortunately, my daughter found a cockroach creeping through the bedroom wall. Tried to kill it but it went under the bed. The room smelt of cat pee (understanding and acknowledging that it is a pet friendly accommodation). Second night in, the staff staying at the property was doing some construction in the room next door (some drilling and banging was happening when we returned to the room and this continued for the next hour or so - this was around 8-9pm) with really really loud music blasting. I have two small kids, maybe turn off the music and stop doing any re-modelling when he saw us returning to the room?
