We had 3 nights here and it was our favourite of all the hotels we’ve stayed in Ecuador. Beautiful hotel, close to all the facilities in Rio Verde, fantastic restaurant and wonderful manager and staff who were super helpful and made us so welcome. Best breakfasts!

A very warm welcome on arrival. Staff were attentive during the whole stay. Beautifully decorated and comfortable space. Food was amazing.

Great location for the Cascada Diablo - but quite far from everything else in Banos.

Absolutely everything As you enter it has a display of fruit, there is a resident artist so art is everywhere. Even the footpath outside is in mosaic. Our room is divine and it has pools and day spa services. In the middle of the complex is a garden which is full of insensitive s for the birds to visit. It offers a spa service and has an exceptional restaurant . It is a must do! Is situated close to the magnificent Cascade El Pailón.

The price is quite high for what can only be described as an extremely eclectic hotel. There seems to be an attempt to combine as many different construction materials, styles and decorative elements as possible into every square metre. The result is a visual cacophony that feels overwhelming rather than beautiful. What is particularly unfortunate is that the hotel is located in a potentially beautiful natural setting, but the excessive and inappropriate construction has completely ruined the beauty and character of the place. Unfortunately this is not only an issue with the hotel itself, but reflects a much broader problem in Baños: beautiful natural surroundings have been increasingly surrounded by unattractive and excessive tourist constructions. Even from the hotel, you are confronted with things such as an enormous fake Eiffel Tower. It is a real shame to see such a beautiful region treated this way. We also did not use the spa or swimming pool, as the area did not look particularly inviting or well maintained, and we had concerns about the overall hygiene. In the room the shower was either completely cold or extremely hot, with no comfortable temperature in between. Overall, we found the hotel very overpriced for the experience offered. The biggest disappointment, however, is how the hotel and the wider tourist development of Baños seems to have sacrificed the beauty of the natural surroundings in favour of increasingly excessive and unattractive construction. A shame.
