Excellent breakfast. Loved the rice hoppers and the chicken stew. Overall good variety across continental, chinese, indian etc.

Old gold hotel vibe cant be avoided with some facilities are old school though its visible they are making changes

The property is strategically located in the heart of the city, with excellent connectivity. Chennai Metro Station, the Railway Station, Bus Stand, shopping malls, hospitals, and Chennai International Airport are all within approximately a 10-minute drive, offering exceptional convenience for both residents and businesses.
The quality of the food needs significant improvement. Most of the dishes were empty for extended periods, and the staff took too long to refill them. This resulted in a disappointing dining experience, as many guests were unable to enjoy the full range of items offered.

Location and tradition of a well known place.
It appears to be struggling to maintain its five star status. I would not be surprised if they lose it any time now. All requirements for five star are falling apart.
