Excellent staff

The staff were very welcoming and even allowed an early check in. The staff also checked in regularly to ensure that we had everything we needed and even offered to store my medication in their fridge because they were concerned the bar fridge wiuld not be sufficient.

Was a bit noisy as people were entering their rooms on our floor.

Great value

The great breakfast, pool and most of all the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Also a very good location 2min gogek to garlic lane and surrounds, but away from noise and crowds. All the food Halal but that was cool because it was all delicious.

It was okay.

The property is beautiful and full of different services, like pool, café. It's near the main road but still really quiet and fancy. The staff are really nice!

The smell of the AC is not pleasant... and the floor is oily.

Room had a damp smell, extra costs involved eg “hire drinking glasses” I have stayed many places and never had to pay for use of glass in hotel. Pay for glass of ice. Shower water not very hot. Booked for 3 people 2 Adults - 1 child but only one bed provided. Otherwise I had to pay more $45 per night. Also over charged in cafe $27 but had driver waiting so didn’t have time to work it out. Currently staying at another hotel, roughly same price and 10 times better.

A happy visitor

Highly professional management adds to the comfort of this well run establishment. Mr Karta treats all clients with respect and kindness but if you are a repeat visitor you are a prized entity. All staff are well trained in hospitality and are attentive, responsible and kind. Special attention is given to celebrations, regular cultural dinners and sumptious breakfast buffets. Fontana Hotel is always on my list when I book my regular visits to stay in Bali.

Everything is clean, accessible to the ocean and malls.

Welcoming drinks, snacks, and bracelets were things my kid loved! We love this hotel because of the safe location for families with kids and clean sheets, AC, and small swimming pools for kids. Lunch at the restaurant by the pool was tasty. The staff working at the noodle stands and the female staff who guided us to the seat at the restaurant were so kind, and their soups were great! The new facilities and access to the ocean and malls were amazing too. There are many restaurants in the mall next to the hotel.

The quality of tap water... Since some videos about the quality of water in Bali are easily found on YouTube, I took our water filter from my country. After taking a shower on the first day, the filter turned brown. As my hubby works in the water field, we heard why it happened from him, so it is nothing the hotel can do for the quality of the water. As a mom of a child, the quality of the water is the one thing I was disappointed with. But we love the hotel, and my son keeps talking about how good the hotel was and really wants to stay here again. We will get more filters when we stay here next time.

Huge breakfast buffet. Worth every penny. clean room, perfect location with many restaurants, convenient stores, laundry stores within walking distance just outside the hotel. Bed was huge and comfy. Rooms are prefect size. Perfect 4 star hotel, exceeded expectations compared to other hotels. Online Pictures don’t justify the hotel, the hotel is very clean and tidy. Bathroom is clean. Everything perfect.

Fantastic Fontana

Breakfast was great. Good variety of food, excellent choices of western, Asian and middle eastern options. Staff very helpful always engaging positively. Front office check in quick and easy. Rooms always cleaned well, facilities in room excellent. Pillows were great for a good nights sleep. A great pool which the kids enjoyed.

Very minor point in that there are no power points beside the bed. Having one would have been helpful for recharging devices.

Perfect Location! Outstanding hospitality!

We appreciate how the management keep up with the building maintenance as well ensuring the cleaning and it’s outstanding hospitality. On the top of that, various of breakfast (westerns to asian cuisine) were nice to start your day. The staff make it easy to feel relaxed and a holiday feeling.

Nice place to stay a few days.

Hotel has a good breakfast with indonesian and continental options. The room was clean all the time.

Coffee served was very bad, the serving jar/pitcher looked dirty and coffee quality inside was very bad. Better coffee available at the cafe for a charge.

The bed is comfortable

Horrible smell of sewer in all areas of hotel. We saw a huge rat run across past a staff member near the pool. The staff are just horrible. They don’t listen to you even if you repeat yourself 5 times slowly, and then when my partner speaks Indonesian (he is local) they still don’t listen. They charge 20,000RP just to borrow a plate from the restaurant if you order from outside??? On my first stay here we ordered food and it was cold, stale and not tasty. Hence why the 2nd stay we ordered food from outside to eat in our room, but this is heavily discouraged for some reason? Maybe if your food was fresh I wouldn’t order from outside. So beyond frustrating that there’s little customer service and staff that don’t communicate

BEWARE!! DON'T TRUST THE PHOTOS

Very few things. The only good thing about this place I'd their spa which U can book seperate from the hotel.

My bed sheets had a blood stain on it when I arrived, the shower head had mold/grime all over it and the water coming out seemed to be brackish water (felt all oily when I was showering). This is the first hotel I have ever checked-out early from a hotel - purely due to how dirty the place was. Also this is the first hotel that has ever asked me to pay to use cutlery in my room. I would stay away from this establishment if u don't want to ruin it Seminyak trip.

Resort Living at its best

The 101 Fontana was exactly what we needed it to be. A touch of resort life in the hustle and bustle of Kuta. Rooms were very clean and breakfast buffet was well enjoyed. TV worked - a rarity in Bali. The espresso martini at the bar was delicious too! I highly recommend a visit to the spa, purchased one of their packages and relaxed the afternoon away in a dreamy spa set up. Room service was good, meals are well described but not as expected haha. Lots of yummy fresh juices on the menu. The staff at the property were all very pleasant to deal with and upgraded us for our first two nights. We ended up booking direct for another two and this was not an issue to keep the same room.

Bintang were expensive 65k!!! My package at the spa was about 30mins shorter than advertised but I was ok with it. Important to note, this is out of the busy tourist areas of Kuta. You will need to have GoJek or your own transport to get nearer to the busier parts of the area.

The breakfast has plenty of options, the staff is very friendly, the rain shower was nice & strong, it's an easy location to get around from and was near to where we needed to be.

The room was quite noisy, we could hear people talking & running in the hallway, doors closing etc.

The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. We also took advantage of their spa offer, which was amazing. The room was comfortable and clean.

Some of the room's amenities (toilet needed for a long time to be able to flush) were a bit outdated.
