I do not recommend staying here, especially for solo female travelers. On my first night, the host made me feel very uncomfortable by making inappropriate advances and trying to flirt with me. This completely ruined the rest of my stay and made me feel unsafe. The room was located in what felt like a basement, with very poor ventilation. The bathroom occasionally had a bad smell, and it was difficult to air out the space. There was no real privacy, as the outdoor dining area was right outside my door. Transportation was also a challenge, and I felt isolated without a car. On my departure day, the host charged me 20 euros to drive just 5.6 km to the airport, which felt excessive. Overall, I had a very disappointing and stressful experience.

More than I expected ☀️

I had an excellent stay at the villa (which was much better than I expected) where I felt very welcome thanks to Nikola's hospitality. Nela's kindness made me feel right at home! She's a wonderful, smiling person who takes care to make our stay unforgettable. I was also able to discover various places (Budva, Kotor, Lovcen, Krasici, Tivat, ...) in which I lived memorable memories and it would not have been possible without Ivan who knows the country like the back of his hand and knows how to sell its virtues 😉 In short, a trip I'll never forget 🙂

Our host was the absolute best! We called him ‘el capitan ‘ Although we didn’t speak the same language he did all he could to accomodate us. We are so grateful and so pleased with stayed. One day I would love to visit again!

The best first day in a new country

This is a family run business, I was met by Nicola who is the most kindest and welcoming host along with his beautiful daughter who catered to my comfort and made me feel like a part of the family with yummy welcoming coffee and a plate of local produce :) Their apartments are comfortable and well provided. I highly recommend this place as the views along with great hospitality its all you need and you will get it at Villa Mare. Thank you Nicola & Nela

Amazing view on a bay right through the window and apartment door. You can have breakfast and dinner right on the villa, which is rare in Montenegro! big variety of dishes to choose. You have your own kitchen in the apartment as well. Hosts are decent people, who will make your stay perfect. Will recommend the place to all my friends!

Fantastic relaxing gorgeous villa with amazing hosts

Gorgeous villa with really beautiful sea views and really nice relaxing and friendly atmosphere. I had a really good time and it has completely exceeded my expectations, it looks even better than on the pictures. Hosts are lovely and it was really a great pleasure to meet this family. Beach is just a few minutes walk, this property offers a private beach as well, supermarket is just round the corner, food offered in the restaurant is amazing. Highly recommend and if anything is free don’t wait but book it as the problem with this property it gets booked too fast and I unfortunately didn’t get to stay as many nights as I wanted this time.

It was an amazing time on Villa Mare<3 Everything was great, near the own small beach, that is really important in that region. Great clean swimming pool, amazing view from terrace. Nikola is the best of the best:) The best fish from him I will remember very long (I've been travelling on all Montenegro and Nikola's fish is the best. Always supportive, always helps with any questions. Villa Mare is highly recommended to visit

Incredible earthly paradise with a lovely host family

We booked for 2 nights, but stayed for 7 nights. All aspects you need for a vacation of high quality were presented: tranquillity, super seaside view, refreshing pool water, cosy rooms with everything needed, but most of all we were touched by the host Nikola who is serving all guests with extremely high level of friendliness, helpfulness, passion and love for what he is doing. He and his family creates a bond that starts pulling you back. All reviews and pics are very true.

Vi vill ge våra allra bästa rekommendationer till Villa Mare! Våra värdar gjorde allt i sin makt för att vår vistelse skulle bli ett minne för livet! Vår kärlekssemester blev helt enastående och något vi aldrig kommer att glömma. Vi bodde i lägenhet 1 med i praktiken egen pool. Nikola helt enastående värd som tyvärr råkade ut för en mycket tråkig incident med en turkisk kvinna som också bodde på Villa Mare. Vi var i hotellets egen restaurang och blev där vittne till hur hon, betedde sig oå ett elakt sätt och oerhört aggressivt sätt agerade mot Nikola. Skulle hon ge ett dåligt omdöme ber vi läsarna av detta att helt bortse ifrån hennes eventuella kritik. Den är i varje del helt oberättigad och ett uttryck för dåligt omdöme. I våra ögon skulle rimligen hon blivit utkastad och svartlistad. Hennes agerande var helt igenom avskyvärt och något som vi bägge två blev chockade över att bevittna. Stackars Nikola med familj fick utstå detta helt igenom klandervärda beteende. Vi begärde av Nikola att få hennes namn för att läsa på booking.com vad hon eventuellt skrivit. Bortse ifrån vad denna kvinna, Sinem Izmir, skriver! Hon var nog påverkad av sprit/knark? Så beter sig ingen normalt funtad människa. Tack för ordet!
