    The bed was comfortable and the day staff was very nice. Night reception was very unwelcoming and you don't get the hand control for the air conditioning, that's very uncomfortable. The location of the hotel is really good, two blocks from the lake and very close to the old quarter and the train station. Conveniently placed but nothing special for the price.

    This is definitely the worst hotel ever I’ve booked on Agoda. We had to book another hotel to stay and accepted to lose deposits for 2 nights at this hotel. Such a waste of money, time, and effort. Not mentioning that we had a fight due to this horrible hotel (I booked after reading good reviews from other travellers on Agoda; I felt cheated) on our first anniversary. Here’s my review: - The hotel is old, dirty and dusty. There’s a lack of facility and top of all nothing works. - I booked a specific room in advance but the hotel gave us a different room on arrival, saying that the room I booked was unavailable as the previous guest extended his stay. - There was no soap in the toilet and I had to asked for a basic thing like soap. - The phone didn’t work and I had to go to the reception to ask them to fix so thay we could contact the receptionist when needed. - The TV didn’t work and we could not watch anything. - There was no remote control for the air conditioner. The whole hotel only has 1 remote control and whenever we needed to adjust the air conditioner we had to contact the receptionist for one off help. - Kettle is tiny and dirty. No tea nor coffee bags for guests. - Wifi didn’t work for the room. We had to call the reception for multiple times and finally they came to fix when it was almost midnight, only after we booked another hotel as we had something important, urgent to work on the laptop and couldn’t wait any longer. - All the facilities in the room are poor, old and dirty. Not sure why travellers gave good ratings for such a bad hotel. This hotel is only suitable for low budget backpackers, but even for a budget hotel you can definitely find a similar one with one third of the price. My recommendation is: never stay in this hotel if you don’t want to destroy your own holidays.

    The Hanoi Luxury Hotel has big rooms and comfortable beds. Bathrooms is neat but the approach path is very narrow and a bit difficult to find out. Be careful while selecting the eight hotel in google maps as there are many with the same name. There are not too many facilities compared to the rate I paid for the weekend. Only plus point I felt is that the hotel is very near to the shopping market.
