It was clean. Breakfast was ok.
Way too much money for what you get. This hotel looks like it was built in the 70s and never updated. Bed was okay but all other furniture uncomfortable. Bare bulb in the bathroom. Shower leaked all over the bathroom.

Bed was super hard, rooms don't have great ventilation so get quite warm (windows don't have screens so preferred keeping them closed due to bugs), breakfast takes ages to prepare

Excellent stay
This property really looks like heaven. The bugambilias everywhere. Our room was comfortable and clean. Pool was clean and comfortable temperature. The food of their own restaurant was delicious too. We will come back for sure

I was traveling from The Netherlands to Mexico and wanted to enjoy some days in Tepoz. We arrived to casa bugambilias on Wednesday. First unpleasant surprise, they wanted to charged me almost 30% from my rate in booking. I ask the receptionist to please double check as this is not what i agreed on, we spent more than 30’ waiting for her to check via WhatsApp with somebody about this. After this, she confirmed that my initial booking was ok. Second unpleasant detail, pool was very cold, no services to have a snack, dinner as the kitchen was close, Thursday they turned on the heat on the swimming pool… but still very cold to use it. still no kitchen open… if you want to buy or drink something in the hotel (even they don’t offer the service) you need to pay a fee for it “descorche” we asked the prices of it, and the staff didn’t know. so they don’t offer the service but they charge you if you want to bring something to eat of drink at the hotel. Friday the temperature of the swimming pool was finally ok… overall, from Wed-Friday we didn’t get 100% the services you are supposed to get from a hotel of this price… perhaps for a weekend Sat-Sun you can get an ok-ish experience. we are definitely not coming back to this hotel. it was supposed to be a nice short holidays with my family, which we had, but not because of this hotel. look at hotels around like the buena vibra… we are going there next time.
