Staff, location. Room. Restaurant, especially staff was very nice and helpful.

Wish room had a ceiling fan and not only AC unit for fan. Air filter needs cleaning. Not enough healthy protein options for breakfast… Salchicha is terrible. But everything else good.

Here’s a polished review that sounds genuine and balanced: We hadn’t been to San José in over 20 years and only needed a place to stay for one night before continuing our Costa Rica adventure. Our top priorities were finding a hotel that felt safe, was clean, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The drive from the airport took much longer than expected because of heavy traffic and rain. Along the way, we passed through a few areas that made us a little unsure about where we were staying. However, the moment we arrived at Hotel Presidente, all of those concerns disappeared. Seeing the security gate and staff at the entrance immediately made us feel comfortable and secure. From there, everything exceeded our expectations. There were four of us, two adults and two 17 year olds, so we had two rooms. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel itself was charming, spotless, and had a fun, vibrant vibe. While we didn’t spend much time there since we were only passing through, it was exactly what we were looking for. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Hotel Presidente again the next time we’re in San José. It was a wonderful start to our Costa Rica vacation.
