Location was good. The cabin was new and clean

The shower was very small and opened in making it difficult to access.

The location was nice. Multiple pools which was nice as it meant when they were busy you could try the other one to see if it was any quieter. It offered the ability to hire out (for an extra fee) activities like kayaks, canoes, paddle bikes, etc.

I tried booking the property direct through their website, with no success. So I tried calling the property 6 times over the course of a few days to organise the booking, still no response. Their website states you need to provide your own linen, but booking through a third party website said it was supplied so I wanted confirmation that we didn’t need to bring linen. I ended up having to book through booking.com, instead of direct, which was that little bit more expensive but at least I had the reassurance that our booking was confirmed. Now upon arrival, the staff were a bit abrupt. Saying I obviously booked late as they hadn’t had time to get the details printed out for me. I explained I had tried to book online days ago and over the phone but no success/response, they just shrugged me off. The cabin itself was nice, but unfortunately the kitchen was swimming in ants and there was rubbish left in the bedrooms / under the beds from the last visitors. Never mind, we will just go and enjoy some of the cool activities they have to offer. With the price you pay, and the way it’s advertised, one would think it’s all included in your booking fees but no. If you’d like to utilise any of the activities they all have an extra fee or two on top, and are time limited. We’d come all this way so weren’t going to miss out, however upon enquiring if we could please rent equipment we were met with hostility. “Certainly not” and “only PAYING customers are allowed to utilise our services”, we were quickly shooed away. I explained that I WAS staying here, and told them my cabin number. The receptionist then makes a snarky comment about me needing to “check in” (which I’d already done, hence already knowing my cabin number and having a key). I then got told snarkily that we had left it a bit late, and last hire of equipment is at 3:45 (it was currently 3) meaning we could still hire equipment up until 3:45 for an hour, it would have to be back by the latest at 4:45.
