Superb hotel for kids.

We stayed 1 night at the Amber Springs Hotel spontaneously booked by me and we were absolutely thrilled with the hotel; it is just perfect. They placed us in a ground floor room close to the facilities eg restaurant, bar, etc and the food, staff and ambience was just fantastic and amazing. We’ve booked a birthday treat in June for me and my husband to stay which we’re looking forward to!

Stayed for one night for my daughters 9th birthday. Rooms lovely and clean. Loads for the kids to do. Staff really friendly. And food was beautiful.

We had a quadruple room and the bathroom clearly had a plumbing issue from the second we checked in. It smelled really badly of stale urine (like it has clearly been cleaned but there was some kind of plumbing issue- think train station toilet). Eventually we got our room moved after night one as housekeeping confirmed it and we pushed the staff again after cleaning didn’t resolve the issue but we’d much prefer to have it addressed really quickly without us having to push and ask multiple times as it was truly gross. (Room number 214 fyi). They moved us after one night but no discount or free drink or anything was offered which would have been a small gesture that would have had us coming back especially given how many extras we spent in the place given restaurants, spa treatments and kids activities. The place has lots for young kids (although most things are bigger looking on website) and our nearly four year old had a ball. But we definitely felt that certain things were a bit of a rip off like charging for mini golf and go karts and bowling being 49 quid for an hour. We managed to have a good few days and I imagine most families with kids will enjoy but I wouldn’t rush back.
