Over night stop on wY to Waitangi

Twin beds which were very comfortable good sized room. Easy to find. Easy parking.

Tidy, clean, friendly but could be better

Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Nice stroll into the Whangarei Town Basin for meals or shopping.

Dated and didn't feel like good value for the money spent. The heat pump only blew warm air. It had an error code. Told reception and she said it was only meant to be for heat. However, she did say she would tell the maintenance crew next week because of the error code. Quite uncomfortable relying on only the floor fan on such a sticky hot summers night!

Friendly staff and lovely stay

I loved the restaurant as the food was phenomenal, huge kudos to the chef. The food was made with so much love, no salt needed as it just had so much flavour. We ate dinner and had included the buffet breakfast which was also amazing. The beds were comfortable and the rooms cosy.

The rooms had no aircon, which likely wouldn't have been much of a problem if the heatwave hadn't hit the weekend we stayed. The showers also you need to fiddle and find the right spot for a warm shower as it was either hot or cold. Once figured out we made it work.

I liked the outdoor common areas.

The room was $197 for 1 night, it had no air-conditioning and my room was super hot when I arrived. The shower pressure was terrible with some parts of it dripping out and the water went from hot to cold several time during my 5 minute shower. I also didnt like that the deck was shared and didnt have an privacy screens. Really not worth the price I paid. There was a fan available but it was dirty.

Apart from no AC, we loved everything about our stay. Food was awesome and staff were very friendly and attentive.

We loved the pool. The cleanliness of the place and the beds were so comfortable.

It was hot and there wasn’t any AC. We did t even have a fan in the room. We had to leave the door wide open during the night which was ok as we felt very safe.

Looks good from a far but far from good.

It looks nice from the outside and the free wifi worked well.

My shower had tried to be patched with silicone, the room was old and tired, NO AIR CONDITIONING!!! the room got very hot overnight and between that and very few opening windows, i could not cool the room down enough to sleep. The beds are so hard it is like sleeping on a plank of wood. There were people yelling out the front at around 4:30am which was also hard to try and sleep through.

There was no plates, or cutlery….man at reception said, that’s cause there’s no kitchen….but a lot of travellers get a takeaway, but nothing to eat it off…he did get me a plate and cutlery when I asked. Sorry that comment should be below

room comfortable, and bed cozy, basics were covered - liked the window cover for privacy was able to park the car near by with trailer still on it - ended up under a flowering cherry so was covered in pretty pink petals the next morning : o)

the rooms aren't very sound proof so I was very conscious of my T.V. on late and I heard my neighbor toileting and snoring ... not much you can do about that though...

What I did not like was the breakfast selection. It was so ordinary. So typical. Have a look at what European small hotels offer and note how you can make your breakfast into something special.

We had a pleasant stay in the hotel a nice quiet meal that was lovely and we were able to watch the.

The hotel was close to the main centre which was handy and we were able to watch the All Blacks. We ate in the restaurant and the service was very good.

I can't say that there was anything I didn't like, the staff were very friendly.

Property could do with a freshen up. Mould on the outside of the unit, some windows looked like about to fall out with the putty falling out. Inside windows also needed a freshen up. Shower wand needed replacing...falling down constantly...
