The property was cosy and inviting and the rooms were tastefully furnished.

There was an issue with the plumbing/drains in our en-suite bathroom which caused an unpleasant smell. The establishment were aware of this and were taking steps to remedy the problem. We were offered an alternative room which we declined.

Location for me was good as it was near the station. Room was near a noisy external airconditioner.Winding stair case was difficult with heavy luggage.Checkin was rushed as restaurant took precedence.

As on my previous visit I did not have internet access for all of my stay. I could log onto the hotels wifi once an account was made. Even that was confusing and flacky. Actual wifi connection in the room was solid (2+bars) but internet would drop out after accessing 1 page of a site. Hence for 3 days I could NOT make forward plans. Internet was fine in the restaurant but that was super busy, noisy & not convenient. Hotels reason of it being an old building did NOT stack up as wifi was connected all the time. I mentioned they needed to contact their service provider but this was fobbed off with the above reason. I would NOT recommend if internet access is important. Shower screen was off its bottom track & without care could have fallen. Ok Against my principles (and taste),I ate McDonalds takeaway (for first time while traveling) for 2 nights instead of patronizing their restaurant. I was charged a different amount to Booking.com fixed £ price even though taxes had not changed significantly. I heard another person checking in query their price also. I generally trust in favour of an establishment.

The room did not have a clear window (only frosted glass) nor a window to open. Noisy air conditioner outside. Internet log on took over 30 mins for each device and then did not work even though connected to wifi ok.

The location was perfect, central.

For the amount I paid, the room was too small.
