Great value for money! We stayed at Admirals Motor Inn in Nelson for 2 nights. The place is a bit old, but very clean and well looked after. The location is convenient — a 5–10 minute walk to the city centre. The staff are cheerful and friendly, really pleasant to deal with. The room has a small kitchen with a stove and pots — very handy. The blanket on the bed is a bit thin, but there’s an extra one in the wardrobe. There are several ways to stay warm: a heat pump, a wall heater, and electric blankets on the beds. We were there in winter and never felt cold. The TV is connected to the internet. Overall we were very happy. It’s inexpensive and has everything you need. Highly recommend!

Shower was terrible - little more than a dribble. Very dated decor and kitchen.
