We stayed in the 3-brm (all detached) Damai Villa for 9 nights. It was incredibly tranquil, with wonderful tropical plants, with bird life and small squirrels hopping from tree to tree. The pool was really big and a sunny area in front on the doors of the dining/lounge area (which you could only last 10 minutes in the sun) Lovely shady spots to chill out whilst having drinks around the pool. Bonus was a large filtered/cooling water system, which was safe to use. The whole place was much larger than it looks like in the pics! Breakfast was included and Kadek did a magnificent job of asking when and which type of breakfast we wanted cooked for us the next day. Mosiquito coils were lit for us around the bedrooms and main living at dusk. It took 15 minutes to walk to the beach/Bintang Supermarket, there is a very long driveway with no exit, so great for not having constant traffic pass you.! Easy to get Bluebird taxi's from this area as well. They offered transport, but we did not do any long trips but used this service for a reasonable rate from the airport and back. Washing was picked up every 2nd day for aprox nz$8 per bag. 24 hr Security outside our Balinese door which there were fish swimming in a pond around the path, this was just beautiful, along with another fish pond in the main bathroom, with two little cute turtles. Wonderful staff, very considerate and polite. Cleaning done daily and not intrusive as they always ask what time suits us. They even surprised us with a birthday cake for my daughters 21st birthday on our breakfast session... Soooo sweet;) Thank you team, you're all very amazing and was sad to say goodbye to Yulia and staff. We can't wait to come back soon. We loved to learn the lingo, so final words. "Terima kasih banyak. Sampai jumpa lagi" ... This will make Kadek happy as he taught us alot of new words and was fun to start the day off. Best regards Denise & Family xx

The long way down lane to get to it, not really a problem

Good location, nicely designed green villa ambience - comfortable and clean. Well thought of facilities like mosquito nets and repellants, well equipped kitchen, clean pool and ambient fountains with koi pond. Close to beach and the main market with several facilities nearby. Villa arranged free airport pick-ups for us and had night guards after 9pm. Most staff were courteous with some language barrier, but the admin communicated well to organise everything beforehand via WhatsApp.

We had a very mixed experience while travelling with a family of 9... so will list the downfalls: 1. Unfortunately, we had some currency theft from 2 of our room lockers on the 2nd day of our stay while we were away on a sightseeing tour. Though reported promptly to our villa manager, the only action that was taken after a detailed discussion with the senior manager was to be asked to report the incidence to the police on our own for further pursuit. The manner in which all the room lockers in the villa were tampered on the same day and nothing else was damaged other than few AUD and GBP being picked up, it felt like an insider n experienced work. :( Very sad that it dampened our overall experience and told us off from using any of the room lockers subsequently. 2. The bunk bed room which is attached to the master bedroom was locked and chargeable per night, despite booking and paying for the stay of 2 children via Booking.com. Also, there were no toiletries/linen in the kids bathroom on the entire first day, making my daughter run around to find a place to wash her hands after using the toilet. 3. Bathrooms had a lot of water stains everywhere on the floors and needed some better scrubby-dubb. 4. Loud noise and music at night from the surrounding villas. 5. Bathrooms need a mess cover in open areas to stop excess mosquitoes from getting in.
