Il Relais

Beautifully furnished and classically designed rooms in a stylish apartment house. Excellent location, right in front of Castelvecchio, easily accessible by car. Limited number of rooms (5?) make it feel like an exclusive experience. Our room also had a veranda (with forest-like view), which was also very special. Staff was friendly and reached out to us personally before our arrival. Nice breakfast in the small and cosy dining room.

Staff is not always on site; requires some time to arrive if they are called. Check-in time needs to be communicated in advance. Parking is at 5 min walking distance, however more than acceptable in the city. Would have appreciated some daily complementary bottles of water for this room rate.

We visited Il Relais about 3 weeks ago. It is simply amazing. The breakfast is THE BEST. So much time and effort that was put into the preparation of our breakfast by Frederica. She couldn't do enough. The room we had was utterly fantastic with a lovely balcony terrace that looked over some quite dramatic private gardens in Verona. Only thing ... is we hardly got chance to sit and chill here because we only had 1 night in the city. The location is great - it's a small city and walkable everywhere. The interior of this hotel is stunning. A little bit quirky and eccentric but beautifully done and ultra clean. If you prefer plain, corporate, boring interiors - go somewhere else. Il Relais is oozing with character. This was our first night in Italy on a 2 week trip around around Northern Italy including Venice, Bologna, Siena, Florence and a chill out in deep Tuscany, and what a way to start. I can't recommend this place highly enough. And Frederica was simply wonderful - so helpful and communicative with everything. Despite us (and our 2 children) only being there for 1 night, she still made us feel special. We loved Verona and with flights directly from our local city in the UK, we will be going back, and we will definitely book Il Relais again. Superb!

Nothing at all

It is not often that I am completely speechless with the level of service and attention to detail that we found during our stay here in Verona. From the friendly and helpful communication before we arrived, to the wonderful array of toiletries, the perfect breakfast and most importantly a beautifully furnished and quiet room in a fantastic location. Thank you so much Federica. Perfect!

The breakfast was absolutely delicious; fresh fruit, perfect scrambled eggs and much more. Superb coffee, too.
