Stanshope Hall

The warmth of the welcome. Sinking into comfy sofas upon arrival with tea and cake by a roaring fire. Fireside chats after long walks with a glass of wine. Perfect setting away from it all, with trails towards Dovedale and the Manifold Valley from the front door. We booked late so we had the smallest room but this was still more than enough for us with an extremely comfortable bed and great bathroom with walk in shower and bathtub. Naomi has seemingly thought of everything to create a shining example of English rural hospitality.

Outstanding accommodation in idyllic surroundings. The rooms were immaculate throughout and the beds were extremely comfortable. This is now my third stay at Stanshope Hall and I intend to return again in the future. It is an ideal base for a relaxing break in the Peak District - and quite centrally located. The staff and proprietor are always very welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts are exceptional.

This lovely house sits in particularly attractive and interesting bit of the Peak District and comfortably lived up to its excellent reviews. Whilst the room enjoyed some of the idiosyncrasies of older houses it was really comfortable. The welcome was warm, helpful and genuinely friendly. And breakfast comfortably lived up to its previous rave reviews, particularly thanks to the local or home made ingredients.

Another great stay at this most welcoming B.andB..Lovely room, comfortable beds and excellent breakfast(inc Manx kippers),all set in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful location. Tea and biscuits on arrival and excellent bar choice.Most amenable host and staff.
