The property itself and the location was perfect
The beds were uncomfortable and the shower was terrible to use and didn’t like we had to share a fridge

The history and ambience and the welcoming nature of the proprietor and staff.

The staff we very welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfasts were really lovely (don't miss the home-made leek and cheese sausages), with everything prepared to order. The whole place is beautifully kept and a delight to stay in.
Shower could have been a little bigger, but this is a rather minor niggle.
