Atlantic Ocean Residence

Fácil a entrada e saída.

A good holiday, but the property was disappointing We stayed for two weeks as a family of four and had a great holiday in Fortaleza overall. The apartment was clean when we arrived, and the kitchen was well equipped. The people were very friendly, especially the security staff at the entrance, who were always welcoming.

Unfortunately, there were a few things that disappointed us. Location: In my opinion, this property is at the less attractive end of Meireles. The other end of the beachfront area is much nicer, cleaner, better lit and has much more going on. If we return to Fortaleza, we would not stay at this property again because of its location. There are similar properties available at similar prices in much better locations. Condition of the property: Be aware that the photos on Booking.com do not accurately reflect the current condition of the building and apartment. They appear either to be old photos taken when the property had been freshly renovated, or to have been heavily edited to make the property look newer and better maintained than it really is. Either way, the property is not in the condition shown in the photos and looks considerably more tired in person. We were disappointed with the condition of the apartment and pool area when we arrived, as we had expected them to look like the photos. Breakfast: Please note that the breakfast on offer is not served in the building itself. It is provided at a hotel approximately a five-minute walk down the road, which is worth knowing when booking. Cleaning: Although the apartment was clean on arrival, we had to ask for fresh bed sheets after a few days. These were delivered quickly, which was appreciated. However, we also asked for the floor to be cleaned, and this did not happen until around three days later. The cleaning lady then came to ask whether we wanted another cleaning in the late afternoon on the day before we left. The cleaning arrangements felt rather random, and personally, I would prefer cleaning to take place more frequently and according to a fixed schedule.
