Location was perfect as was in the middle of Alfama area where easy access to restaurants and public transport. There was a maid on sight who was able to help with some of the issues that arose. The host was very attentive and contacted us regularly to find out if everything was ok and sorted any issues promptly and effectively.
The apartment could have had a little booklet about the amenities in the apartment such as how to guides for the cooker etc.

Lovely cosy apartment right in the heart of Alfama

The room was basic, and we had to ask for an iron since there wasn’t one in the apartment. We also had to report the toilet not flushing, twice, over our 4 night stay. On top of that, we had a mouse in the apartment. When we mentioned it, we were told it might have come in through an open window because of the June festival, but since we were on the second floor, that didn’t really make much sense to us.
Very basic setup – It lacked expected amenities like an iron. Maintenance issues – The toilet didn't flush and needed to be reported twice. Hygiene/pest issue – There was a mouse in the apartment, which is unsettling, especially since we were on the second floor.
