Great value

Excellent value for money. There was a nice shared seating area outside, and the kitchen and lounge facilities were great. Very popular with backpackers.

The ensuite bathroom was really clean, but a bit old. But, overall great value for money and we would stay again.

Cleaness and things did work. All needed utilities were available. Very pleasant receptionist from Myanmar - we noticed to know same people in her country.

Liking to have quietness when sleeping, so I - took off the clock in the bed room - closed the door not to hear the fridge - I could not prevent the dripping of water from the roof onto a rubber mat covering 2 boats. Next time I will bring along some ear plugs

Good location

I like the location of the place, walking distance to the beach. The room is clean, the staff are nice, flexible and easy check-in.

The parking space is very, very limited. Room is hot, though there is an electric fan.

Good value stay

The lodge is in a brilliant location and the rooms are great value for money. The kitchen is well equipped and whilst we didn’t use it we thought the huge tv and lounge area were a fab bonus. The accommodation and kitchen are very clean and we would definitely stay here again.

Perhaps take out the mini kitchen from the private room and replace it with somewhere to hang clothes as the shared kitchen is great so kettle, toaster and microwave are not needed in room. The walls are extremely thin and so if other guests choose not to follow the rules and stay up in communal areas until the early hours you can hear everything! Ear plugs work a treat but this is definitely something to be aware of.

The late check - in was not a problem . Room is perfect and cheap

The room was clean and good for a good price. The late check-in was very helpful as we don’t ask about it but they contact us straight away to us when it almost closing time for them and no show up. Excellent customer service

Classic hostal good for a couple of days

The location is good, only a 5 minute walk away from the Intercity busstop. The lady from reception is kind and helpful Bedlinen, towel is provided and clean In general a good vibe at the hostel.

It's not clean... especially in the kitchen. Bathroom and kitchen are cleaned on regular base. Bathroom was fine...but the system in the kitchen doesn't work. No cloth to wipe the table or working space in the kitchen after using. So everyone uses the drying cloth. Very unhygienic! A lot of young girls "live" there for some time whilst working which means a "messy" room. They were all very friendly and considerate though. It might be an idea not to mix "working" and "travelling" people.

Nice Hostel with great atmosphere and lot of backpackers

Great atmosphere like a big family, there is a nice lounge area with netflix perfect for movie nights and a nice terrace with lot space to seat, eat dinner together or play cards. The location is nice, less than 10min walk to the wharf/bus and bars, laundraumat across the street. The hostel is cleaned several times a day and the personal is really friendly. It s also nice that towels are provided.

The hostel was top. Just annoying that the air humidity is so high in Paihia that nothing can dry even inside...

10/10 stay, would stay here again

Peppertree was a lovely stay. I spent 2 nights in a dorm and 2 in a private room with en suite. All the facilities are immaculately clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very comfy.

Will definitely stay next time I'm in Paihia

It's a really nice environment with really friendly people! It's very close to the beach and many restaurants. On top of it, the room and bed was very comfortable.

The shower water pressure is bad BUT I think with all the pros for this property, I feel it's not a huge deal. And despite not having great water pressure, at least the water is still warm!

The room was great and appreciated being given one where we could sleep separately. All was clean and comfy. Kitchen was clean with everything we needed. Loved the wee lounge upstairs which we used all the time. Quiet , with comfy couch to sit and read in the evenings.

Everything was as described. Nice clean linen, tidy setup and grateful for the room being warmed before our arrival. Great location as well. Easy walk across to the bar/restaurant and short walk down to the beach front

The pillows could do with protectors as well and the mattress protector needed seeing to. Otherwise no complaints everything was amazing

Accessibility to the main Paihia centre.

The internet keeps dropping especially during busy hours like afternoons & night time. On Easter Sunday the internet was down fr afternoon until we left @ 8am on Easter Monday. Small things but really helpful is the lack of hooks to hang even jackets, no hooks in bathrooms either. Parking is scarce. We were told to park in their sister motel’s parking across the road but only have 10 spaces there so very limited. We opted to park along the road but quite full as well.
