Amazing hot pool. Friendly welcoming staff. Lots of activities. Near the bird sanctuary.

A lot of work has gone into presenting the grounds and amenities which are presented well. The staff were very helpful suggesting places to get dinner. The poll was enjoyable. The nearby bird sanctuary tour was excellent

We were in an original unit by reception. There was heavy rain on the first night. It pored in around the rubber above the left side of the double bed. We put a rolled up pool towel on the windowsill but the rain seemed to run out tge bottom. It wasn't a problem but we didn't see the staff when we left to tell them.

A fun family weekend with everything you need in one place!

An extremely well-run holiday park. Everything was clean and well organised. Given it is not located close to other amenities or shops, they really do provide everything you need on-site - even a food truck serving burgers & chips and excellent coffee in morning! It has had an amazing upgrade and extensive renovation since I last stayed there. The pool area is so clean and beautiful. Quite resort-style now.

Nothing major, just a couple of niggly things in our holiday unit like the sliding doors are very noisy and don't operate smoothly, but overall no real complaints.

Family Vacay with no regerts!

Everything about our stay was amazing.... clean, comfy, peaceful, even the temporary community we met amongst our stay was lovely. So much for the kids to do, so much for adults to do too - as an ex dog owner and foster, it was such a pleasure to see a place that accomodate families with their best friends too. We look forward to our next visit, and plan on making it an annual family tradition.

There are lots of activities for the kids to do. They enjoyed basketball and pickleball most of all. I love the hot pool. The park is clean and well-equipped. The walkway under the trees is so relaxing.

The pedal karts were all broken so we couldnt rent them. Being able to rent pedal karts would be a bonus

Our whanau xmas holiday

The whole place was absolutely beautiful, friendly and very safe. We had a 1 bedroom motel cabin that sleeps 5, and the aircon was our favorite. It kept us nice and cool, and we slept comfortably. It was very spacious, and we enjoyed the decking with the pool view.

We hoped the pool would be much cooler during the day, we couldn't really enjoy the pool time as it was too hot. If the temperature was cooler during the hot days, we would've lived in the pool area all day.

On the way to Hobbitton Movie set Farm

I found out you've remodelled and still it looks going on. The hot-pool looked better than before and confortable.

Just before our check-out, it was noisy due to trucks working across. And, our check-out was delayed because huge trailer trucks were working. BUt, it was OK, not serious.

A very disappointing experience

- The thermal pool was nice and had extended operating hours - The bathrooms were acceptably clean - Wifi worked ok

- The kitchen was practically empty: no plates, cutlery, mugs, or any pans that seemed safe to use. We hadn’t brought our own, as every similar place we’ve stayed at was well equipped. - The room we were given (for two people) had five beds and only a couple of power outlets, both inconveniently located. - The women’s bathroom ran out of toilet paper

Construction zone

The pool is really amazing

The place is current construction zone. Very muddy and lots of building supplies everywhere. The cabin I stayed in stank like old shoes. Wasn't nice. Very damp and poor ventilation. We were told the day before the toddler pool wasn't open.

Disappointing

We like staying in Miranda, we like the holiday parks go karts, pool, flying fox and mini golf - the family friendly amenities are fabulous.

This time, the construction was so advanced that it was our full view from our cabin. It was noisy through the night with a generator and through the day with work. We understand that improvements have to happen sometime, but the cabin was sparce (no stovetop of coffee pot or sink soap). The environment was noisy and not peaceful. The go karts weren't out and it was still full price. It cost us $750 for this sub par experience.

Poor experience

We arrived late, a key and directions were left at the reception window sill for us. When requested they agreed to relocate us to another chalet. This was an upgrade but still on the edge of a construction site and easily quieter than the first cabin.

The holiday camp is undergoing major revamp and my cabin was infront of an area being constructed, concrete being poured and cut, waterblasting the adjacent building and spray painting the cabin I was in, plus loose polythene sheeting used to mask the windows flaped all night. After booking the camp called to say the hot pools were closed but did not mention construction work, very poor. Unfortunately it was dark when we arrived, the office was closed although a key and directions were left, no information regarding building and landscaping was given.
