Beautuful views & location

Time for a revamp as property is looking a bit tired & worn.

The place is clean, not too far from town, friendly staff

The staff were very warm and friendly. Breakfast was good. The room was spacious and the view of the mountains from the patio was beautiful. Close to amenities and easy access from the R600. It's especially convenient if you booked a hot air balloon ride as Berg Air Lifestyle centre is just a few minutes away. Great for a peaceful and tranquil little getaway.

Unfortunately I was traveling with a knee injury and found that the parking was a little far from the unit with an uneven pathway, making it a bit difficult for me to carry my luggage to and from the unit. Also getting in and out of the tub to shower was a bit challenging as its quite high and the water was luke warm, which wasn't great in the cold weather.

The tranquility and location, lovely hikes . Breakfast & dinner was amazing. Some of the staff are friendly .

The establishment is dated and needs improvements. The room we were allocated had no air conditioning which was cold the underfloor heating does not warm up the room. We had to sit on our heated beds to keep warm. Our room was quite odd , we had more toilets and bathrooms than required, one shower was totally dis functional the other was a 1/4 of the size of a normal shower . It was a mission to regulate the hot water. The place needs a good clean. When we address the issue with the receptionist and asked for a heater , we were told that there’s nothing she can do, but the establishment is under new management and is being renovated which was no help to us. The breakfast and dinner was really good which made up for the accommodation I have fond memories of The Nest but my experience this time was not a pleasant one.
