Great out of season break

The location. The staff were lovely. The room was a good size and the beds comfy. The view was stunning from our top floor room.

No heating in our room on arrival on a very cold day. The radiator didn't work efficiently - however they quickly brought us an electric heater which was great. We were on the top floor which had no lift and the stairs are a little tricky. The menu in the evening was quite limited - a lot of spicy food. However everything we had was tasty and well cooked.

It was a lovely hotel,spotlessly clean,loved the decor ,staff super friendly and helpful,met some lovely fellow guests,food was excellent,breakfast superb and plentiful.Will definitely visit again.

When we arrived on the Friday evening and went down to the bar it was full of very rowdy teenagers,mostly underage I felt ,one of the young boys told a girl sitting opposite him that I was staring at her ( which I wasn’t !) she then became quite aggressive and was goading me into retaliating even after they had all been ejected by banging on the window and shouting abuse at me,however as a 60 year old woman and her partner who had gone away for a weekend to relax after a busy week in work it was quite upsetting and not what I had expected. I feel that maybe there should be stricter control as to who is being served alcohol,the barman was very apologetic and did remove them from the bar,he was a lovely friendly guy who sorted the situation quickly and efficiently.

Beautiful location, very close to the beach ( couple of minutes), good English Breakfast, restaurants are all walkable, EV charging (although slightly expensive) and very good staffs.

Glad to leave,could not happen soon enough

The room,which was part of a new block in the car park was good. From there it went down hill fast

Staff could have been more welcoming. Had booked evening meal which was passable but not good. Poor service. The breakfast buffet looked like a war zone. Mostly empty trays. We did not bother to stop. Had a great breakfat somewhere else. Would never go back. Cannot recommend.

One night away.

The hotel staff were very friendly. Our twin room was a good size and well equipped with lots of storage space. The bathroom was very clean with plenty of hot water and large soft towels. The breakfast was included in the price. This was of good quality and plenty of choice. We will stay again.

Unfortunately one of our twin beds wasn't as comfortable as the other, but it didn't stop us from sleeping.

I really enjoyed my stay.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. I liked this traditional hotel. The building is Grade ll listed, it had a lot of character. They have a real chef and both the dinner and breakfast were delicious.

Great location, fabulous team and lovely hotel

From start to finish, our stay was lovely. It's a wonderful location and the view from our room across the water was the perfect start/end to the day. Every member of the team there was warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble; we immediately felt at home and relaxed.

We didn't address this with the hotel at the time so it's a little unfair to bring it up here, but the only thing that could be improved upon was the shower in our room - 28. The flow was very low and the temperature kept changing from momentarily scalding to cold. We should have mentioned it to the hotel at the time to give them the opportunity to recolve it but, in all honesty, we were having a lovely time and didn't want to spoil it.

The location is good. 2 minute walk to the beach and all restaurants

Hotel rooms look tired . We had no water in room on the first day/night as there was a problem with the plumbing , so couldn't shower and had to cancel a restaurant booking as we were full of sand from the beach. Staff didn't really seem to care 😕...not what you expect for £150 a night

Overpriced with a poor breakfast

Good central location with secure parking facilities. Although within the town centre, there was not a lot of noise in the room from traffic or people.

The room was dated and tired-looking, with an uncomfortable bed and a small TV. The buffet breakfast wasn't hot and consisted of poor-quality items. It did not offer value for money and we would not stay again.

Not worth the money

The location was perfect , 2 mins from the beach.

The first day/night was without water so unable to use the toilet or have a shower after being on the beach all day, so missed a restaurant booking. Not very apologetic over this. The breakfast was ok. Buffet style and it was tasty to be fair, but the first morning was a bit shambolic..we waited nearly an hour for toast and coffee, despite numerous reminders. 2nd morning a bit better. Room was comfortable but needs updating. The shower was functional (when we finally got water), but it looks grubby and couldn't wait to get out of it tbh. Definitely NOT worth the £156 a night we paid .

Good location. Comfortable bed. Alex (manager?) was very polite and helpful.

Very tired. Not brilliantly clean. Lots of old stains in the bathroom. Temperature gauge on n the shower did not stay in position so. needed to be held in place with one hand whilst showering. The breakfast was very basic and everything felt very budget. Tables were left uncleared and staff throughout the hotel were very thinly spread. No one around for check in or check out. Definitely not worth the money spent.
