Turisme Rural Mas Masaller

La comida es excelente, todo casero y cantidad. El Sr Joan es muy atento y amable, siempre dispuesto a ayudar y recomendar sitios. El sitio es muy bonito, un hotel rural relajante con encanto, buenos espacios y piscina muy bien. Lo bueno de la ubicación es que estás muy cerca de todos los pueblos medievales (Pals, Peratallada, Ullastrell, Monells, Madremanya, Pubol -Museo Dalí, etc... ) y también de las mejores playas y calas de la Costa Brava a 20/25 mint.

Un lugar para desconectar y descansar. Bien ubicado para conocer el interior y la costa. La cena y el desayuno espectaculares, con productos de la zona y caseros. Hacer especial mención a Joan y Marina, por su hospitalidad y cercanía.

El trato de Joan muy amable! El almuerzo muy bueno.

En nuestro caso particular, la cama no nos fue muy comoda, pero todo lo demas era muy correcto.

It was quiet, the room was airy and the bed comfortable. The house was a refurbished farm house, quite old with some interesting features and a couple of grandfather clocks. The floor was cobbled stones and very uneven to walk on. The pool was good. There was a lovely playhouse inside the house for the kids and a rather rickety old swing in the garden.There were 4 rescue dogs living outside. There was a goat farm outside with a herd of beautiful black goats. A shop in the house next door sold goat cheese, yoghourt and other organic produce and wines, the woman who owned it had tables outside where we could eat salamies, cheese and drink her local wine and look at the goats at sunset. The dinner we had in the hotel was good, everything was freshly cooked. It had to be ordered in the morning at breakfast so if you arrive later in the day you would need to order ahead. There is not much else locally unless you drive for 20-30 minutes.

The host was not very welcoming or forthcoming about how he ran things so we had to find out gradually. He was only around when cooking to ask questions. For example, we did not know what was on offer for breakfast other than what was laid out, ie muffins & fruit until we saw what other guests were eating, he did not speak to us to offer anything. Dinner was at 9pm so if you had children needing to eat earlier it was necessary to get them food from the supermarket in the village. The host seemed not to be happy about us doing that and there was no fridge to keep anything cold, with the exception of a tiny one in the dining area from which one could buy water and beer.
