Best place in Moracea

We were traveling with a baby and the staff were amazing, gave us the best welcoming experience! The room with the sea view was perfect, the pools are excellent, the restaurant as well. We stayed for 3 nights enjoy every minute there! Furthermore, after we moved to a different hotel which supposedly had higher ranks and stars but Moracea was soooo much better with all aspects and we’re sad we didn’t stay there the rest of our time in Khao Lak! Really recommend!!!!

Little Gem in Khao Lak!

Fantastic resort located on a beautiful beach! Pools are amazing and the site itself is stunning with beautiful nature. You have bars and restaurants on site (more expensive than in town though). It's a good 15min of walk to the little town which we didn't mind

AC wasn't working properly in the room so it was really hot and humid. Only reason I'm not rating a 10

Beautiful beach resort

Great hotel set in huge grounds with wide beach front. As there are so many pools they never felt crowded. Very comfortable, spacious and beautifully furnished room. We ate at the hotel a few nights sitting by the beach, food was good and service lovely. A very relaxing stay

The situation with people saving sunbeds is ridiculous. There are signs up saying not to save sunbeds. But my husband would go out around 7am for a run and saw most of the sunbeds were already saved but there was no one sitting on them.

Such a beautiful place to stay with everything you need, exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff who help with anything you need.

The only thing I didn’t like was that they spray the bugs once per week. I worry that it damages the surrounding environment. I understand the need to keep mosquitos away but I worry about killing lots of insects then the birds have nothing to eat!

Loved this hotel!

I loved this hotel! Many pools, and the most beautiful private beach. The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff was really nice.

The location of this hotel is a little bit outside of Khao Lak centre. If you want to eat in the centre you have to take a taxi (2 mins) to the centre. Or walk 10 mins.

Clean, Modern. On the pricey side.

Moracea was lovely place to stay, but expensive for what it is. Food quality is really good., but again really expensive for what you get, drinks are small and prices are high. Accommodation is modern. Clean and at good level. Pools are small but nice. Good location. Taxi services quick and efficient. Was nice but not our favourite places to stay on this trip unfortunately Breakfast was fantastic though.

Prices. Didn't feel like home like other places we have stayed. Think you can get better value for money elsewhere. Still enjoyed the stay, not sure if it would return.

Perfect location and hotel for a few quiet nights on the beach.

Location was perfect for serenity but close enough to walk to neighbouring hotels on the beach for dining, walking down to night markets and restaurants or simply hale a tuk tuk at the front of hotel

Exceptional resort with amazing views.

Wonderful place. Had the private pool villa and it was exceptional. Clean and every day it was cleaned. The restaurant is nice, right on the beach. Breakfast is varied and they look after my gluten and dairy intolerances. Our lovely girl Fon, looked after us and always had a big friendly smile. A real sweetheart. The other staff (can't remember names) were great as well and the egg station girls were so sweet and careful with my food allergies. We will be back! Only 10 minute walk to the main shops and restaurants.

Beautiful resort, great location and wonderful staff!

Great location- about a 10/15 minute walk to the main town; the pools were fantastic and also had the beach right in front of the resort; breakfast buffet was varied with lots of choice; the resort itself is absolutely beautiful, set in lush tropical grounds.

The room and pool towels were a bit old (thin, and some pool towels had stains on them) but this is me being fussy!

Outstanding resort for peaceful rest and relaxation.

Beautiful setting by the beach, lush gardens, comfortable and relaxing.

I found the breakfast selection ( hot Thai breakfast ) was limited and average, food wasn’t hot, impossible to get a hot coffee form the machines in the morning, warm/cold coffee. 1st world problems and nothing that had a negative impact on my stay. I’ll definitely return. It was a beautiful relaxing resort.

Lovely stay.

The bed was amazing, had the best nights sleep. Rooms are lovely and staff helpful.

About 80% of guests seemed to be smokers so you could not get away from someone smoking near by. Even in your room on the balcony people smoking next door and it coming across, people by the pool too. Should have no smoking around pool areas and some room blocks just for non smokers so you can enjoy sitting outside.

Excellent beachfront property in Khao Lak

Location location location is everything! If you like a beachfront property with a private access beach then this resort is for you.. Feels like you are in the jungle so green and lots of animals around- squirrels, lizards etc Very spacious room with a seating area, separate bath and shower with all amenities provided in the bathroom.. Partial sea view from the balcony in some of the rooms.. Rail for wet swimwear on balcony Helpful staff - pleasant and cheerful. Extensive breakfast with traditional and western options. Adequate sunbeds, towels provided by the beach, beach bag provided in room, umbrella and flip flops in the room TV with some English channels They have thought of most things…

As an improvement the resort could run shuttle services into Khao Lak on an hourly basis. Classic cocktails tasted different and weaker than usual. Pizza and chips were from frozen and tasted awful- these should be made from fresh. Food is cheaper outside hotel- Spinach restaurant is really good and on the main road. 15 minute walk from hotel. Massages and laundry prices cheaper outside hotel.

Perfect paradise

Everything about Moracea was simply incredible . Gorgeous rooms, gardens and facilities. Super helpful friendly staff. Our room was done up beautifully for our honeymoon and again for my birthday. I was even given a surprise cake for my birthday too! The attention to detail was impeccable. 10/10, would highly recommend.

The Beach in July is very rough. The resorts in the location could make an effort to clean all the rubbish from the whole beach. The beach experience is part of the resort ..... however the beaches are full of rubbish. Please make an effort to clean up. You have enough gardeners to do this.

A fabulous stay at a wonderful hotel. The staff were absolutely fabulous from reception, breakfast, dinner and housekeep

The property was well maintained, my room was very spacious with separate shower, toilet and bathing facilities. The hotel is located within a 10-15 minute walk from Khao Lak centre with all of its dining, shopping and other options. This is fantastic as you have lots of choice just around the corner at the central hub for the area. The beach and grounds are very well maintained and there are good options for eating and drinking on site, right by the beach or room service.

Although the town, with all of it amenities, is a short walk 10-15 minute walk away… sometimes you just need transport. The hotel would do well for its guest if they had a free shuttle service in and out of town perhaps 3/4 times a day. This would be extremely convenient and I would upgrade my location score up to 10, instead of an 8 or 9.

Relaxed vibe, tranquil, pool access rooms worth every penny - quiet, relaxing space where we spent all afternoon, with swim up pool bar and happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails - amazing place.

It is built on a hill so if you have restricted mobility may impact you. However, a golf buggy is a phone call away to transport you anywhere on the resort.

Outstanding value, view, service and breakfast! Come in low season!

The room was spacious, elegantly designed and had a wonderful view out to sea (we were in a Grand Deluxe close to reception, so the relative height at the top of a hill offered a great vantage point). Breakfast was outstanding with tonnes of vegetarian (and gluten-free) options, which was wonderful as so many Thai breakfasts tend to be so meat-heavy - this was a welcome break. The staff were courteous and friendly without exception, and the a/c in the room managed to keep the room cool despite the humidity outside. Visiting in low season was superb value, and honestly with just a few minutes of rain on one of our three day stay, a June visit is really a no-brainer, especially as nearby Khaolak is so quiet and crowd-free during this time. Walking around the resort is a pleasure - if you're lazy and don't consider walking in lush vegetation to be enjoyable, then go stay somewhere flat.

The spa prices are, typical of a resort like this, insanely expensive - especially when you can go anywhere in the neighbouring village and get an excellent massage for a fifth of the price. No frills, but you're not paying for the chandeliers!
