Perfectly adequate stay.

The hotel was a little bit difficult to find, due to a construction site in front of it, and the gps wanting to send us down a bus/tram only street. There is a parking garage for a fee, but we opted to park our two motorcycles in the parking lot in front of the hotel, which was fine. Staff was friendly and spoke good English. The room was comfortable and fairly spacious. It’s a bit of a walk to restaurants, and some of it quite hilly. We walked to a shopping centre about 20 mins away, where there were several options.

The breakfast room is quite small and got very crowded in the morning. The buffet was laid out right inside the door, which created some “traffic issues”. But selection was ok.

The hotel is well situated for an overnight stay in Besancon. The rooms are clean and functional. There is a parking space directly near the hotel. If you want to travel to the city, the local tram station is 5 minutes away. You can reach a supermarket in 20 minutes by foot.

It is a very functional hotel. For those travellers who wanted to do a city trip, the hotel is not close to the town.

Basic comfort but poor wifi speed

Had the 3-beds for 2 nights. The memory foam type mattress was comfortable. There are external shutters outside the windows. The hotel interior is very warm inside even when cold outside, and so are the rooms (radiators turned off), probably because the bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans run continuously, drawing in air from the corridor. The fridge has a freezer compartment inside. Lots of open shelves for storage. There are only basic implements in the kitchen. No paper towels. The single communal washing machine and dryer costs EUR6 to both wash and dry - credit card payment only. The hotel receptionists spoke good English. Car parking is both in front of the reception block and covered parking underground. The reception is on the ground but is actually on level 3 as the building is on a hill overlooking the university. Our room which faced the university don’t have problem with cigarette smoke.

Abysmal wifi speed even though signal strength was good. My notebook wouldn’t even connect although the smartphones did but only after logging into the router (192.168.182.1) to get the login page - suggest you have BYO mobile data and not use the wifi. French TV channels only and the slow wifi means streaming is not an option.

nothing… not as advertised at all

Don’t believe the photos used by the hotel! Don’t Trust the Reviews either! Totally unrealistic! Dirty, Damaged, dated, a Fan that you couldn’t turn off was so noisy I needed headphones to block it out. People smoking in rooms. What year are we in? Its nothing like photos. Can hear everything through the walls. Wouldn’t advise as a solo traveller, the location is questionable. I stayed because Id driven for 6hrs I needed to sleep, as I had another 6hrs to drive the next day but this is not acceptable. Wifi 💩 too

Nice residence in good location.

Good location, tram stop just next to the Zenitude, close to the university, hospital, shopping center and restaurants. Very kind and helpfull staff. Good breakfast, although there were no vegetables. Kitchenette in the room.

Somewhat had impression of having a dirty floor in my room. I was also waking up at night when somebody was walking the stairs that were located next to my room. There were no vegetables at the breakfast.

This is the hotel my start-up uses often when we visit our industrial partners. Location, cleanliness, comfort are always excellent. This time the restaurant was reopened so we enjoyed a nice and varied breakfast.

I was overcharged at check-out (payed twice for my room), then it took three days to obtain a refund. In addition, I spent 5 days trying to obtain the invoice for my stay.
