Worst place I’ve stayed in Europe

The floor of the room leans about 3inches toward the headboard no way I could sleep that way window overlooking alley and stairs with ac system for the building right next to window also next to Ned Kelly’s Irish pub open till 2am complete noise all night would not stay there again

A perfect stay in the heart of Breda - warm hosts, spotless rooms, and charming views of the square.

This was my second stay at Hotel Sutor, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. The owners, Erik and Jessica, are exceptionally kind and always ready to help with anything you might need. The hotel is in the city's heart, with everything within easy walking distance. I had a lovely room overlooking the square - bright, comfortable, and very clean. Everything was spotless, and I appreciated the warm welcome message from the owners, along with complimentary organic coffee and tea. Highly recommended, I’ll definitely be back! 😊

The only downside is that it can get noisy at night due to nearby bars, and in the early morning, you might hear delivery trucks and cleaning crews. If you prefer peace and quiet, ask for a room facing the inner courtyard. But if you don’t mind a bit of city buzz, I highly recommend choosing a room with a view of the square.

Great location, staff cleaned room and provided fresh towels daily. Shower had 2 strength options. Comfortable room. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Steep staircase not mentioned in advert, not easily accessible for some disabilities, quality of coffee in room was poor, needed Internet to access room and main hotel entrance, no option for those without this option. Glasses in room not cleaned properly.

Location was good, room was good as was the shower,

Whilst there appeared to be a reception area during our visit it was not staffed and entry was by key code making the stay seem more like an AirBnB than a hotel.

Jessica was superbly friendly and the communication was great. Prior to our stay, a recommendation for a local restaurant was given and we loved going there. Nothing was too much trouble and rooms comfortable and spacious.

Perfect location - in the main city centre. Spacious double bedroom. Room is very clean and tidy. 10 minutes walk from the metro train station. Shops, stores, restaurants, cafés and sightseeing places within close minutes walk. Kettle, with tea, coffee and milk in my room.

The stairs are extremely narrow. No lift but it was fine for me as a solo traveller with very light luggage.

location - very good the young lady at the reception - very kind

old, run-down and dusty hotel. they could fix that with a new coat of paint not proper cleaning in the room and an old, dirty smelly bag in the garbage bin you can iron your shirts on the corridor but the iron is very old and burned and dirty, so, you'll definitely ruin a white shirt. shameless, they could buy a new iron for 20 euros some new bin bags for 2-3 euros the stairs - terribly steep and dangerous

Perfect place for any type of stay.

The hotel is situated in the very center of Breda, but is very quiet. The rooms are well equipped, no remarks. The breakfast was well prepared in a cosy atmosphere. The reception team was extremely friendly with a great sense of humor.

Lovely boutique hotel in centre of Breda. A minutes walk to an array of restaurants, bars & shops. Staff are amazing, cheerful & helpful.

The stair to the rooms are ‘Dutch’ very steep & narrow. Not an issue for me but could be challenging for others.

expensive for a view of a concrete wall

it was right beside the main square, but not on the main square itself. Right beside the church.

as mentioned on the site, they do not have an elevator, and the stairs are typically Dutch narrow, and steep. Very difficult if you have problems with stairs. Also, our room had no view and looked over a very close concrete wall. I don’t think many rooms have a view of the street unless you go up another set of steep stairs.

Nevertheless there are many bad sides. If you do not have the bedroom with view on the street, you have absolutely no view. Facilities could be cleaner and staff could be more helpful with more tips on what to visit etc

The location is good. It only takes a 10-min walk from the hotel to the train station. The room is spacious and clean. So is the bathroom. The staff is very helpful. We arrived pretty late. The staff contacted us in advance and gave us information about late check-in.
