La Maison Boutique Hotel

Bathroom was spacious and recently refurbished and clean. Comfy Room. The Owner/Manager, Ronnie was super friendly to us. We requested him for a Pic for posterity sake and he ended up making a portfolio :).....we ended up talking for 20 min about various things before leaving with promise to return.

Breakfast spread was already good for value but may have at least one hot item such as Eggs.

Some previous guests mentioned about low temperature at breakfast hall. They have installed a few heaters at the hall now. It’s quite warm there while outside was below 10c. Lots of indoor parking. Staff are nice and friendly. The room may look a bit dated but it’s good value compared with other hotels in the area.

Perfect if they can renovate the rooms soon.

Location - Great! 800m walk to the RSL club, a little further and you're right in the main street. 1km walk to Echo point, save the parking fees and walk from your hotel. We also walked to the Katoomba night walk from our hotel, less than 10 minute walk, mostly lit all the way to the start of the walk by street lamp. Breakfast was very basic, toasts, cereal, yoghurt, some fruit, coffee and juices, all you need for a basic brekky. Staff were exceptional, reception made us feel very welcome upon arrival and the breakfast manager was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great value for money if you're looking for a basic place to stay while visiting the area. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Given it's an old building with quirky colours, it met all our needs, it's not somewhere you go for a luxury vacation but for people who are sensible and just want an affordable trip away with basic creature comforts it was great!

The rooms were basic, the only sink is in the bathroom, a bit tricky for refilling water bottles but once you get the angle right you're sweet. Bathrooms don't have any vents so it gets VERY damp in there quickly, as long as you open the window right up after it usually clears up a bit and we had to use the foot and hand towels to dry the floor after a hot shower - however staff were great and gave us fresh towels on our second day! Really for what we paid there isn't much to complain about when you weigh up the helpful and friendly staff and the location as well as price. :)
