Love the location near to super market and major tourist spots. Not to forget next to Police station.

excellent stay

I found the insides of kitchen cupboards, clothes dryer dirty. We have stayed at other Quest properties and this one doesn’t seem to be at par with the others for sure. The only plus is that it is close to Woolworths and centrally located, but also our room was facing a construction site. Additionally, the rooms facing the front get quite noisy as it is on a bus street.

We arrived on a public holiday at 6pm after having been on the road all day, which was classed as an after hours check in. I pressed the intercom on the front door and was told to ring the internal phone once the main door opened and I’d receive a code for the safe which will have my room keys inside it. I tried calling multiple times but there was no answer. So I pressed the intercom again at the front door and was told the same thing, despite me advising that I’d phoned at least 5 times and no one was answering the internal phone. So, I tried again.. more than 5 times - no answer. So again I pressed the intercom. This time I was told they would call the duty manager and was told to keep calling the internal phone, before being hung up on. I kept ringing the internal phone and still no one answered. I rang the intercom for the third time, and a male staff member answered and gave me the code for the safe inside. I asked that he wait for me to open up my phone to record the code, and he rudely told me that it’s not that hard to remember. Disgusting service. I had my two year old sitting in the car after a long day of driving, while I tried to sort this out. One of the rooms we booked smelt of curry and cigarette smoke. The view from our room was of the Police Station. Lovely.
