Grand old hotel
Rooms were a little bit too small and could use a make over!

The hotel is exceptionally clean and in an excellent location. Every member of staff, from the driver at the airport, doormen, reception, pool, janitors were all welcoming, polite and professional throughout our stay.
Notes to hotel:
Of the ten hotels we have stayed in during the month trip Phoenix provided the least amount of drinking water in the room. By quite some margin in most case.
There is a Circle K convenience store across the road that came to our rescue the hotel do offer extra water but at, comparatively, exorbitant cost.
Should not need to ask for a second balcony chair when you knew two guests.

Nice building. Well maintained. Liked history corner and photos of famous visitors. Pool was pleasant (but small for lengths). Balcony lovely.
Liked everything. Food was good but average.

Small but nice room
Balcony was facing terraces of neighbourhood! Charging ridiculous amount of money for water - when it is rightly served free in the restaurant below!!(10,000 IDR for a 300ml bottle)
Gym was in a bad state and treadmill was not useable at all!
