Perfect location, clean and simple

The room was on clean and comfortable. On the smaller side, but it was all I needed for a single night. Great location

I love sleeping with open window for fresh air, but it was too loud outside, so I had to close it. The room got quickly stuffy and hot

A bit cramped.

Check in was smooth. I could check in on line before my departure to Ericeira. The hotel looks nice and the location is just perfect.

No explanation on TV, heater, or shower. There was no hot water making pot in my room. I could not see any receptionist until I checked out. On the second day, I heard some voice outside of my room, so I opened the door to see a cleaning person. I asked her if I can have hot water to drink. As we could not communicate (she speaks only Portuguese, which I cannot speak), I invited her to read my computer screen, which translates English to Portuguese. Understanding what I meant to say, she pointed a cabinet door. She must have meant that the hot water pot as well as cups are in the cabinet. I had already checked it to see nothing. She went somewhere to bring the pot. The coating of the bottom of the pot had been peeled off so that coating material was floating in the water. I washed the pot a few times but still I felt a bit dangerous in boiling water with that pot. The room was cold. I somehow figured out to turn on the heater finally although there was no description on how to use the heater, but electricity outlet next to the heater was loose enough to often get disconnected. Hair dryer in the bathroom was not working. TV volume was not auditable --it was so low that I could not hear. It was tricky to start the hot water of the shower. Again I had to call this cleaning lady to ask about the shower hot water. After learning how to turn on hot water, the water got so hot that I had a little burn on my stomach. It was a long journey to finally get adjusted to the condition of the hotel room. The problem is: nobody could help. Finally at the time of checkout, I could see and talk with the receptionist. She was nice. She said that there is a possibility that the pot in my room was stolen. Oops. A guest was blamed.... Well, the hotel should have checked it before I got to the hotel.
