Frogner House - Skovveien

Good location

Some smell from the inner courtyard/restaurant.

Great little apartment in a great location with everything we needed: dishwasher, small but fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer on every floor.

The room was somehow always hot and it was hard to sleep with the windows open as there are a few bars just across the road. The self check in was not explained very clearly but in the end it was quite easy. It’s not true that you can get real on spot assistance 24/7 because when I called after 18.00 I could only talk with a remote security guard that was there just for emergencies. Finally, considering that there is no reception, every room should have two pillows per person, and the curtains were not really shielding much light.

Very close to tram and restaurants/shops/cafes nearby. Our room was spacious with balcony, heated bathroom floor. Bed was comfortable, good sized smart TV with little kitchenette. Free laundry a huge bonus for on our travels.

Room is warm in summer, no staff around only a check in machine is a concern in case of any problems (which we didn’t have)

Bed was comfy and bathroom clean and new.

Virtually no power points, dingy/tired hallways and common areas, no staff/robot checkin and needed someone (another guest) to come out for us to get in - the intercom was in Norwegian and we didn't understand a word. Once inside we managed to get our door cards via the check-in machine as instructed by emailed check-in procedure using g provided code. Our room looked out onto the internal courtyard where kitchen staff from adjacent restaurants regularly stepped out to smoke with the smoke entering our room. Overpriced for such a tired stale place. Fantastic location is the only consolation.
