Lovely little pension with a fantastic location! 10 min walk from the bus station. It’s an easy walk to Old Town and just a few minutes from the beach. There are lots of little cafes and bakeries nearby too. The room was small but comfortable and well maintained, with a comfy big bed and a lovely balcony.
It was quite cool when we visited so we didn’t need the AC, but it was great to have the option. Check-in and access were easy, and the stay felt very convenient.
We absolutely loved San Sebastian as it was our first time there, and coming back to Pension Garate after a day out was great. Would definitely recommend for couples!

Excellent location, clean room, helpful staff.
Shower was too small, and its drain was terribly slow. Some noise from other rooms.

The location is great to Concha beach and the old town
Thought room facilities were very minimal and of basic standard and not great value for money
