Excellent value for money: that's IBIS. Even in Sion my expectations were met! Very courteous staff!

The great thing about IBIS hotels is that you always know what to expect: basic but comfortable. Excellent value for money. In Sion, too, our expectations were met: young and very courteous staff, very clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot and powerful showers. The bar serves good draft beer, and for those who are hungry, there is an evening restaurant service with a daily menu. A short walk away is the shopping center with shops, Migros and Dennner supermarkets, and cafeterias. Very close to the highway exit, convenient and quiet. There are numerous parking spaces reserved for hotel guests (for a fee, 10CHF) around the property. 10 out of 10, I will gladly return! One note: breakfast could be improved. Both in terms of quality and quantity.

One note: breakfast is rather sparse. By 7:30 a.m., there is nothing left, and the restocking service is not as efficient as one would expect in Switzerland. Yogurt is only available in bulk; there is no packaged yogurt.

Perfect for what we needed

The cleaning staff knocked twice to clean the room. We were only there for one night and check out was at 12.00 so there was no need to disturb guests.

The facility provided what we expected but experience was bad due to un-frendly stuff at reception.

The location, building structure, restaurant.

The stuff at the reception is un-friendly, inappropriate for tourism and are not business orriented. They do not understand that by helping clients, their business (and their own job) would thrive. Instead they easy get in argues and conflicts and focus on cashing in quick, un-substantial amounts of money. There is a general smell of damp in the building and corridors.

The staff is very friendly! Which makes up for a lot. Also the food at the restaurant (we had dinner) was very good. The location was perfect for the reason that we traveled there.

The hotel needs asap renovating. The room looks old and dirty. The shower curtains were stained badly, the hotel hairdryer couldn't be hung properly, the toilet inside had black marks. No nighttable on one side, nor a socket on the other side of the bed. Carpet in the hallway was old and damaged..

The people at the check in where very kind and empathic, we had a very rough day so it was nice they could catch us a bit. We might have startled them a bit with the whole story of the incident we had but they stayed very calm and kind.

the hotel was quite far from downtown and beds were not so comfortable, specially the pillow. Breakfast was very simple taking into account the cost.
