Food was lovely, as was the location. Staff were very helpful
On final bill, there was ab optional 10% service charge on every service, 2 small bottles of water at dinner £16 ??? First room kitchen extractor was turned on at 6.30am so noisy.

Do not expect Ritz standards. This is a hugely character full hotel with many quirks. It is great fun with really friendly staff and can best be described as a really good experience in a truly historic setting
Basically the WiFi is hopeless but with two meter thick walls what can you expect.

It is a little tired in places (carpet etc) but it adds to the antique charm. It would be great if there was a clever way to put air con in an old room without it being seen
