The location is excellent, especially if you’re attending a wedding at Laborie Wine Farm – it’s right next door, which makes things incredibly convenient.
The rooms are generously sized, and the bathrooms are spacious, which made the stay feel comfortable.
Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the visit.
There is ample parking available on the property, and the gate key access adds a good sense of security.
Breakfast was decent, with a standard selection of fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, and cheeses, plus the option to order a hot breakfast.
The beds were comfortable, and it was great to have extra blankets available in the cupboard.
The value for money could be improved. Compared to other B&Bs outside Cape Town, it felt like there were fewer thoughtful extras that usually elevate the experience (such as a small bottle of wine, chocolates, or local treats).
Not having complimentary water in the room especially during summer felt below standard.
The toiletries provided were quite basic, with only one set by the basin and none in the shower. Small touches like face cloths were also missing.
Breakfast pastries were limited (only mini croissants), and a bit more variety would be appreciated.
Soundproofing could be improved, as it was possible to hear other guests in nearby rooms.
The mirror placement in the room was inconvenient. The only full-length mirror was inside the cupboard, but the door didn’t open fully, making it awkward to use. A better-positioned mirror would make a big difference.

Not much
The rooms were not very inviting and need some tlc. The DStV was struggling to deliver a clear and stable connection as was the shower which struggled with delivering hot water (took forever to get water that was sort of luke warm). We were treated with a sagging matras and rock hard pillows.
