DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa

I love the building and the luxury it inspires. Tall beautiful rooms and lovely views if you’re located at the front of the building. Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.

If you have children (under 15yrs!), access to the pool was restricted to early morning or late afternoon. We were in Harrogate for a trade show (hot day & tired feet), so relaxing in the pool in the evening would have been perfect.

Need air con in the rooms. 3 weddings taking place and the terrace was out of bounds for standard guests which didn’t seem fair. All paying guests should have access to all facilities. The breakfast room could not cope with the volume of people - some food/drinks not available

Definitely was expecting a lot more for the price per night for this property. We arrived to a very full car park, with no spaces available - we had to park on the road and were given a disc to accommodate free parking, we had to move our car early the next day in order to find a space and avoid a parking ticket - parking at this property isn’t free, which is disappointing. Rooms feel outdated and not particularly clean - we had to move rooms after the first evening stay due to blocked drainage - our sink and shower didn’t drain. We were then moved to a much smaller room. As an old building, it’s expected for there to be some minor issues which I would often forgive, but given we spent £400 to stay here for two nights, this was very disappointing. There is also air con, with rooms feeling stuffy. Overall, the rooms require updating to align with a more premium pricing.
