The staff at front desk Ashley was a really professionally trained hotelier- during the night she was able to manage challenging situations and u Definitely made the stay more enjoyable-

Staff in the restaurant were a little aloof - the prices were high in the restaurant and food didn’t reflect the cost .

Friendly staff, great views. Lovely courtyard off the room. Big comfortable beds. Parked easily.

I liked where the hotel was situated. The checking in staff, restaurant staff were really warm and friendly. Restaurant food was excellent. Bed was really comfortable. No breakfast tea in the room.

I didn't like the dark room. The room was very warm and the fan provided didn't work. It could be decorated and floors refurnished to brighten the room up.

Lots to like about this hotel ie location, friendly and welcoming staff in all areas but especially in breakfast room, glass of wine on arrival, clean/comfortable bed and pillows, good breakfast and enjoyable evening meal in the restaurant.

What we didn't like was the parking situation which we gave up on and used the railway station car park over the bridge, £8.70 per 24hrs. Another issue for us was the bathroom (room 206) chipped paint along the shelf above the basin, chipped paint on toilet seat, water damage on bath panel due to badly fitting shower screen and the worst was the unsightly unhygienic carpet/floor covering on the bathroom floor which was stained and got soaked after every shower. Also had electric fan on constantly in room as no air conditioning.
