Everything! The room, and hotel reception areas, outside terraces were fantastic. The new owners of Hyll are currently renovating and extending the property and are doing a fabulous job. The overall atmosphere is so relaxing and calm, the detailing of items dotted around the hotel are without doubt the best I have ever seen. The meals and staff went way beyond our expectations. Cannot be faulted.

Room 27 needs a blackout blind in the bathroom. As the door between the bedroom and bathroom is glass, we were woken too early by the light streaming in.

Lovely location and views and the small details such as blankets and suncream for outside, birthday sweet treat in the room, a fan (as no air con) and hairdryer and steamer
The afternoon tea arrived 45mins after booking time and minimal choice for vegetarian.
I requested the beds be moved apart to make a twin room which staff agreed to do whilst having afternoon tea but it didn’t happen (I ended up doing it myself).
Lots of staff grouped together in bar/restaurant and when you walked through they all stared at you and stopped talking.
