The central location, friendly staff, spacious rooms, excellent bar/lounge & comfy beds.
Not much. The bathroom extractor fan didn't work.

Clean, modern, staff were helpful
The hotel is in the middle of Colchester high street so the venues around were open till the early hours with lots of loud music & noisy customers on the streets!
