    It’s odd more people don’t know about this little hotel set in its own grounds in a housing estate on the edge of Northampton. We stayed for a wedding so were only there overnight but the friendliness of reception staff was immediately notable on check in, checkout and when we went to get a fan for the room due to the heatwave. The room was tradition English hotel standard - clean, average size, nice shower. Fittings were a bit dated - we had to unplug the lamp to plug in the fan and a phone charger - but perfectly functional and pleasant. The lounge/bar area was inviting just off the lobby - TVs, a pool table - and we’d have liked to have explored more. We’ll probably go back, just to check out the restaurant and grounds more. And it was fantastic value for money. A real hidden gem of a bargain.

    The staff were very helpful in assisting me with my 100 year old mother who has mobility issues. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable on the ground floor as i had requested
