About this house rental

Welcome to your home away from home in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country where privacy is our priority! Nowhere near RVs, tiny cabins or hwy/busy roads. Enjoy your stay in our guest suite 2 miles from the famous Hunt Store and minutes from the headwaters of the Guadalupe River. The location is ideal, just a minute off Hwy 39, yet without the road noise and still less than a quarter mile from Schumacher’s Crossing on the Guadalupe with ample parking and covered picnic tables.
The space is perfect for a weekend away from the city, yet complete with modern amenities such as WiFi, Dish cable, central heating + air, kitchenette w/ Keurig k-cup coffee maker, microwave, full size refrigerator w/ ice maker and a secured, private entrance. Enjoy cable tv in the living area and a new 50” Fire tv in the separate bedroom. Shopping, wineries and outdoor activities galore await you in the surrounding areas! Well behaved pet is welcome for a small non-refundable fee with prior approval. See House Rules for specific pet policy. Newly added firepit and propane grill are available to enjoy during the cooler evenings. The gated back yard is not a part of the rental unit and should be considered off limits. This is a non smoking property.

Sally answered my first message within an hour and continued to give clear, timely responses to every query. We are so glad to have found her after the 7/4/25 flood had destroyed our home in Hunt and are grateful for her hospitality and kindness. This was the perfect little property for my four day stay in Hill Country! It is darling! Sally did an amazing job making it so cozy! She is a very kind and responsive owner. As soon as I walked in the door, I felt very at home. Comfy bed and bath linens. Coffee, cereal and bottled water were appreciated. I felt very safe, and really enjoyed sitting outside at the end of a long day watching the sunset. I highly recommend this property and would mostly definitely stay there again!

Listing says "hot tub" , but it's a spa tub in the bathroom so I was disappointed when we arrived and checked out the property. Everything else was very nice and exactly as described.

Great little suite attached to the side of the main house. Very clean one bedroom, one bath, with a kitchenet. Walking distance to the river and very quiet country setting. As we were packing up two deer walked by to check on us. The host communicates well and tries to think of everything to help make your stay more enjoyable.

My husband and I visited Hunt for a weekend getaway, and Sally’s guest suite was the perfect place for us. The spacious suite had a large king bed (we slept as well as we do at home if not better), a cozy living space and a kitchenette with a microwave, full sized fridge, and dining table for 2. The suite was clean, comfortable, and cool to escape the Texas heat. It is also in close proximity to Bridget’s Basket, which quickly became our new favorite lunch spot. Shaded parking was directly in front of the suite for easy access making unloading and loading the car a breeze. It is located in a quiet, lovely neighborhood where the typical sounds heard were the distant songs of wind chimes and the soft hum from the wings of hummingbirds. Our favorite past time was sitting in front of the suite in the shade while enjoying a cup of coffee and watching nature. At times we were greeted by a friendly canine resident from the attached main house that quite possibly could be the sweetest pooch in all of the Ingram/ Hunt area. The neighborhood is also a great place to enjoy a walk “around the block” to experience many views from different elevations. It is very close to Schumacher’s crossing along the West fork of the Guadalupe river, an easy walk from the suite. Above all, the host Sally was so kind and easy to communicate with during our stay. She was our virtual guide by helping us find some delicious restaurants in the area!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay @ Sally's beautiful guest home in Hunt, Texas. The home was very clean and comfortable. Sally's hospitality was very much appreciated. She had coffee, cereals, fresh fruit, waters, and milk stocked for our stay. This guest home is in the perfect location for access to Camp Mystic and other hill country camps. It also close to Kerrville and just an hour away from Fredericksburg. The home is just minutes from Bridget's Basket for delicious food or for listening to live music. We enjoyed walking around the beautiful neighborhood in the early morning or late evening. It was fun to spot deer on our walks. We would love to have the opportunity to stay here again.
