As always the staff were superb. It is a difficult time for my wife and I who are making numerous trips to visit an eldery relative. It was nice that both the reception and manager remembered us and asked about our relatives health. A nice touch. We were also upgraded to a lovely room in the courtyard. Full marks guys
Nothing. I would say that the room.84 needs looking at as the room above does create noise. Creaking boards etc.. It was no issue but could be off putting.to some Just an observation and in no way a complaint

The staff were lovely and friendly. The hotel itself was really nice.
The room qas quite dusty and the breakfast wasnt worth the money at all. Shame that there's not a spa or more facilities at the hotel.

The staff were very welcoming at the front desk, and the room was extremely clean - breakfast was one of the best that I have ever had! I would definitely return

Spacious and clean rooms. Excellent parking. Ideal location. Attractive grounds.
Got disturbed both nights in the early hours by the Night Manager alleging complaints about noise which were unsubstantiated and ruined my sleep. I can only surmise it is because the partition walls between many of the rooms in the corridor I was staying in are thin and noise travels between the rooms. Once disturbed I overheard 'amorous' exchanges in an adjacent room but took that as part of staying in a hotel rather than grounds for complaint. I think my friend and I were just being victimised by the Night Manager who took against us for some reason. Very poor show really for an expensive 4 star accommodation.

Good location , pretty gardens and interesting history about the place
Very shabby and tired
Food poor quality and cheaply presented

Excellent for my aunts birthday
Insecure booking system accessed through Booking.com- allowing scammers to see my name , booking information. Booking.com needs to greatly improve its security

Very beautiful property in an ideal location to visit Wolverhampton races , room was clean, spacious (suite) and provided everything we needed.
Unfortunately breakfast was very disappointing, served milk that was past its best , raspberries which I had already started eating, had mould on them and found staff in the breakfast room to be rude when this was brought to their attention without so much of a sorry until I approached reception.

What a beautiful building and also the grounds. Tasteful decor throughout the hotel keeping in with the period of the building. Our room was spacious and modern. We had a suite, also very clean. Good lighting for makeup with a lovely dressing table.
Drinks were reasonably priced at the bar.
I visited this hotel with a group of friends for a trip to Wolverhampton races. I was extremely disappointed in the rudeness of most the staff ie receptionists and breakfast staff.. very unwelcoming and made to feel like a nuisance over basic asks. Breakfast wasn’t great (luke warm) the milk was curdled and mould in the raspberries. My friends were refunded for breakfast but I was made to feel as if I made up a lie so I was charged, very poor service and Very rude staff which was a shame as the hotel itself is lovely.

Lovely warm room, comfy bed, superb staff. Good breakfasts cooked fresh.
The mini bar prices are ridiculous. ÂŁ4.95 for crisps and ÂŁ3.99 for a can of coke. Would have liked better quality bread rather than sliced.

The staff who looked after us were wonderful. They are a credit to your organisation, could not have been friendlier and really made our stay memorable and special. The staff in the bar on Saturday night we’re just brilliant.

Very grand in appearance, staff extremely efficient and friendly
Thought the room was rather small and standard for exec double. Would of been tight if two people were staying

Traditional hospitality in a really lovely hotel! Such an upgrade from the larger chain hotels. Would definitely recommend.
There wasn't anything negative about our stay!

Decent location in a character building
Noise! The walls of the room in the new wing were so thin I could clearly hear the conversation in the next room. Breakfast was disappointing (burnt and overcooked)

The building is beautiful and came as quite a surprise, i was heading to a party in Wolverhampton and the Premier inn nearby was full and this was the next nearest property. I was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find ourselves in a stunning old "stately home" with the most beautiful ceilings and rooms. Its a little dated in places but the place is an absolute bargain for the money. I think they had two weddings going on that evening and i sneaked a look at one of the ball rooms from the minstrels gallery on the way to bed. What a great venue

Location was good
The bacon was overcooked. You couldn’t cut it with your knife and the scrambled egg was undercooked and too sloppy
The deluxe bedroom we booked was too small. There was hardly room to walk past the end of the bed

Had to pay a pre approval charge on arrival of ÂŁ60.00, unnecessary and vey expensive, was then refunded at check out. On check out then wanted to charge me ÂŁ161.32 when already paid/booked/paid ÂŁ148.41??
Room very small and bed very uncomfortable, really not what I was expecting when selecting and booking the room.

When we were finally able to check out.
We paid a lot for our stay and it was truly awful and a real waste of money. There is a sign in the hotel room that says tell us if you're happy and if you're not happy, also please tell us. We did tell them several times we were not happy and nothing was done. Firstly, our 'deluxe suite' turned out to be a box room in an annexe which staff told us was their most basic room. So we were mislead there. Secondly, we had a noisy bathroom fan that kept going off on its own, coupled with the upstairs toilet loudly flushing every 10 minutes. The pillows were rock hard. In the morning there was no hot water at all, not the shower nor the sink. We had to call reception and walk barefoot to a filthy dirty beauty room and use a pathetic electric shower, all whilst trying not to stand on other customers' pubic hairs. At 7.30, breakfast offerings were skant, most food boards were empty.Three times we spoke to a receptionist to complain and each time were told there was no manager and if we left our details they would contact us. Safe to say, despite a further 3 attempts on my part since checking out, I have had zero response from the hotel managers. Absolutely disgusting. No customer service whatsoever. Not even an apology from the reception staff. I will be pressing for a full refund. The hotel did NOT give us what we paid for.

The room was relatively small, and as we were on an international trip i.e. visiting from Australia, there was very little space for our suitcases, so it was a little cramped. We had hoped we would be allocated a larger room when checking in as we obviously had several suitcases with us.
Room size, and window in the bathroom was difficult to open, and we generally felt the room needed a makeover.

Close to where we were visiting, beautiful decor in the restaurant, nice food and staff were very pleasant. Lots of parking.
King size bed had been replaced with a double and the mattress was hard. The decor of the room was nice however the furniture was tired and in my opinion in need of being updated and replaced as a lot of scuff marks. Someone had clearly smoked in the bathroom as burn marks in the bath, the shower was a mixer tap shower attached to the bath taps so ended up spending a while trying to get the temperature right and the bathroom door wouldn’t close fully. Disappointed given this is advertised as a 4 star hotel we were told we had been upgraded at check-in. Not what we expected.

Breakfast had lots of choices, although expensive if not included in room rate. No English breakfast option.
Water gets all over shower floor; gym use requires providing your doctor's name, address, phone. Not really once questioned why they needed it. Asking for 2nd key next morning, wasn't asked for name or ID. Wi-Fi not secured with a password. Some mold on bathroom ceiling.

The hotel is wonderful with its wood panelling in the reception and ballroom.
However it is the staff that make this stay special.
GM Sarah was especially attentive and should be proud of her team.

Everything other than our bedroom was excellent.
All the staff we encountered were friendly and professional and the food was excellent.
In our bedroom the enamel bath was very heavily chipped in numerous areas which let the appearance of the bathroom down badly.
The top of chest of drawers was heavily marked and water stained.
All the drawer handles were loose and I tightened them with a multitool penknife that I happened to have .
I also tightened one window catch that was loose but the other window catch screws had worn away the wood and could not be tightened without plugging.
These are minor problems that could have been relatively easily rectified and not of a standard I would expect of a 4star hotel and nowhere near the standard of the rest of the hotel.

The main Manor House is beautiful, as too are the gardens and location.
Some of the decor, particularly in the bar area were very garish and did not fit will with beautiful old beams, wood panelling and windows.

Clean, interesting building. Restaurant and bar enjoyable
