Family room with the patio was lovely. Staff were very friendly too.
Bathroom was very tired in places and the shower wasn’t very particularly hot.

Not clearly stated at booking that the pool is for over 18 only. It would have been help if that info was visible not in fine print

The pool was lovely and so was the sauna and steam room
No windows in our room the bed was extremely uncomfortable the heat in the room turned on and off on its own the food was under cooked then they tired to scam us by over charging for drinks a member of staff told me there's no manager and that everyone is a manager and the WiFi and signal is beyond terrible would nor recommend they also add extra charges on when u get there not a good expirace at all

Location and staff were perfect. Great car park and staff were super friendly and helpful
Facilities weren’t the greatest. Had to run out in the rain to get to the spa and gym. Bath tub was rotting

Rooms were clean
Poor, staff nowhere to be seen, unhelpful. Hotel has a spa this is over 18 even though I was told I could take my daughter when I enquired when doing the original booking. Dinner the food was nice, the service was shocking

The beds were uncomfortable I had a really bad sleep,
And the single bed in the room which was for my 6 year old daughter had all tiny hairs on it which looked like pubic hair. I had to ring reception and it took them a long time to come and change it, when I wanted to get my children in bed because it was late when we checked in I payed just short of £100 for the one night I definitley don’t expect this. And the WiFi didn’t work this is the second time we have stayed and it hasn’t worked on the tele.
Pubic hair on my daughters bed!!!

Rooms were good, bed comfy. Staff very nice a d friendly.
Terrible sewerage smell in female changing room at pool.
Food at Restaurant overpriced, small portion sizes and very bland. My guests and I marked it 4.5 out of 10 at best.
Breakfast no better.

The rooms were very clean, tidy, modern and comfortable , tea & coffee laid out well
Restaurant felt a bit cold and more of a canteen feel that a restaurant.

Good size family rooms
Clean
The sofa bed mattress was very uncomfortable and right beneath the heater which wasn’t ideal. The aircon heater was very noisy but we had no choice but to use it as it was very cold.
Breakfast was very disorganised- everything was running low which meant people were waiting for a long time. Coffee was weak and not nice and only instant coffee was available. We had to keep telling the staff that there were things running out for them to get them replenished.

The staff were friendly and helpful when problems arose. The staff in the spa reception was helpful friendly and enhanced the experience. The front desk night duty member was helpful and responsive. Check in was easy and mosy explained. Breakfast was amazing. One of the best breakfasts i have had in the numerous hotels i have stayed in.
After getting into our room after several night shifts, we were hoping to relax however work was being completed in the room next to us, which was noisy and exacerbated my asthma. Also the electeics blew when we put thw kettle on. The member of staff was initially helpful but no follow up the next day, we were without tea and coffee facilties.

Nothing really
I booked for 2 nights over Christmas but checked out after the 1st night
I received a call @ 8:50 in the morning of the my check in informing me the festive afternoon tea I booked was cancelled
On arrival I was informed the spa was shutting early and wouldn’t be open on Christmas Day
The room whilst having the executive makeover was very small
The bar wasn’t really accessible in the evening as they were setting up for the following day
In the morning (after going to the restaurant) I was informed it was room service only.
I checked out that morning as I really didn’t want to spend my time in my bedroom. I was told I would hear from the hotel about my request for a refund for the night I didn’t stay. I have continually chased the hotel and been fobbed off with promises they’d contact me to no avail. Despite several emails I’m still waiting. Seriously I’m so shocked how this has been handled.

Lost the charcter in newer rooms which was a shame

The bar area and restaurant was lovely and the staff especially reception and Brandon in the bar were chatty and helpful.
Room was a bit small for a king but comfortable. The breakfast let the experience down as there was barely any hot food out when we went and it took quite a while for it to be replaced. That made it a lesser experience given its rated as a 4 star and priced too match.

The unavailability of a lift

Food was okay.
The room was absolutely freezing with utterly inadequate and noisy heating high upon on the wall blowing 'hot air'. Staff were not interested in our complaint and said to turn the heater up (and the noise).
A definite low class /response which sums up the arrogance of the hotel management.
Would never stay here again and would advise accordingly to prospective clients.

Character building, outside very well kept.
Inside nice and modern.
Our room was way too cold and they offered us a change of room which was much warmer. Totally understand that the hotel is old, but making sure the room is warm before your customers arrival is a must especially when the weather is so cold.
Lovely front desk staff and very accommodating they will do anything for you.
Some areas of the restaurant smelt of damp/mold.
The rooms were nice but attention to detail for cleaning would be an easy fix in bathrooms.

The property was in a good location and secure
Very very noisy and I was bitten a few times whilst sleeping. Had a few lumps on my body, very itchy!

Great location with good facilities
Meals are a bit spicy for me
I had an issue with locking my room door. Maintenance told me to slam the door harder so that it would lock ☹️

Location is decent for any event in Wolverhampton. Breakfast was decent
Check in says 2pm, room wasn’t ready till 3.30pm. Check out is 11 so there should be plenty of time to get the room ready especially when paying extra for a suite .

Location
Bedroom above very noisy restaurant. Music playing very loud

A beautiful building, clean and comfortable bedroom, excellent breakfast and polite and friendly staff with the added bonus of a spa on site. We were in the area for a gig and it was much nicer than a town centre hotel.
The spa is quite small, the pool gets crowded and is not long enough for length swimming. Spa towels were provided but they were not very fluffy! However as the spa was an extra I can’t complain! Also room service stops at 11pm with last orders earlier.

Fabulous, welcoming staff
Really comfy beds
Bathroom great and really clean
Not too noisy at night
😊
Breakfast service could have been better although the food was fine, the hot counter, pastries, bread etc were not replenished quickly, toaster terrible, coffee machine had to queue as only one machine. Not a great selection for continental option, just one choice of not particularly appealing cheese. Having said this I would stay again.

Breakfast very & dining in the grill was very good but did notice quite a rise in prices since our last stay in April - sadly sign of the times I guess!
Nothing springs to mind

The general location was useful for our needs
The room was located above the breakfast area and in a very noisy corridor and was so noisy from 6am - for the price we paid for the room I expected somewhere quieter. We came down to total carnage at breakfast as there was a large party staying in the hotel - nowhere to sit and not much staff. I’ve paid less in the same hotel for a much more superior and quieter room. I would not recommend staying here on weekends if you’re not part of a big event as it gets totally taken over by those guests.

The entrance is absolutely beautiful! Staff were friendly! Place was good and good value of money spent! Definitely coming again this was my 2nd time visiting after so many years.

The staff at the restaurant (dinner) was exceptional: friendly, helpful, flexible. Especially Isla was amazing. Also Kieran at the spa was funny, friendly and made us all feel welcome. The spa facilities are really nice, although a few more loungers in the quiet room would not hurt. The food from the Indian menu was fantastic. Our room, No 210, was big and comfortable. Ample parking, nice garden, and proper retreat.
The place is badly managed, people at the reception are either incompetent, liars or ill-informed: I called in advance and was told by reception that the spa provided bath ropes and slippers. When I arrived the spa manager laughed in my face -- they did not even have enough towels to hand-out. Bath-ropes and slippers have never been stocked. I also called for the latest breakfast time and was told 11. When we arrived at 10.40, there was basically no food left and staff told us that they stop replenishing at 10.30. The coffee machine was broken -- my forst coffee-free breakfast in decades.

Looks Grand from the outside
The bathroom had blocks of wood underneath the toilet for what reason I have no idea. Found long black hairs on the sheets.Went down for breakfast at 9.30 and there was no food left the cook managed to cook some passed it through the hatch to us and we had to put it in the dishes the bread was hard as it was left uncovered. The bar had run out of Rose wine at 4.30pm when we arrived at the hotel for pre dinner drinks so we decided to leave the hotel that evening to find somewhere else to eat.

Nice quiet area
Very outdated, room was unclean! Stained bedding and could see the bathroom had not been cleaned due to the amount of hair around the sink. The sink and shower had mould around them. Did not even want to take our shoes off or sit on anything. Immediately checked out as could not imagine staying there over night.
7.0 / 10.0
Pleasant staff at reception and in general, didn’t use spa so can’t comment
No fresh air in rooms, no opening windows, no mini bar ( even if empty), no bath and shower not having hand held unit, only overhead fixed unit. Bad damp smell above our heads in breakfast roof, faulty a/c unit maybe? Potential risk of infection ?
