Nice hotel, but service and communication could be improved The hotel itself has a pleasant atmosphere, and we were happy with our sea-view room. The mattress and pillows were fantastic, and we enjoyed the pool and skybar areas. The à la carte lunch and dinner were also good. Unfortunately, the service and communication did not quite meet our expectations. Not all staff spoke English and some of those who did were not fluent enough to communicate more complicated requests clearly. This led to several misunderstandings during our stay. We often felt that our requests were acknowledged with a friendly “yes”, but were not always fully understood or followed through. One example was when we asked reception for help booking a restaurant that could no longer be booked online. A few days earlier, reception had given us a list of restaurant recommendations, and we wanted to book MEDITERRÁNEA from that list. When we asked reception to call and make the reservation in Spanish, they told us that the restaurant was only a few metres away and that we could simply walk there. We explained that we had checked Google and that it was around 13 minutes away by car, and even pointed to the exact restaurant name on the list they had given us. Despite this, they continued saying it was “just here” without checking the information. It eventually became clear that they had confused it with another restaurant. As we were at the pool in our swimwear, we found it disappointing that they did not simply verify the information or try to help us with the reservation. The lack of follow-up was also noticeable and, in our view, this is where reception could have been more proactive. Although some requests were passed on to the relevant team, there was often no follow-up to check whether they had actually been completed. We ordered a vanity kit and shaving kit through the hotel app, but 24 hours later they had still not arrived. We also requested additional coat hangers, which never arrived.

The hotel itself looks great and the location was excellent, close to the beach and with everything we needed nearby. The food was fantastic - breakfast had a great variety and the quality was superb, and dinner was just as good every evening. We booked a room with a sea view, which was beautiful and made the mornings really special. We also had a really nice experience with one of the receptionists, Ab, who was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay and made us feel genuinely welcome.

Our biggest disappointment was the air conditioning, and this needs to be highlighted. Outside it was around 32°C, and the room never dropped below 26°C during the day - the temperature simply wouldn't go down (as shown in the photo we included - the room temperature is the small number in the top right corner, not the large main number). We had to keep the beautiful sea-view room covered with curtains the whole time just to manage the heat, which defeated the point of paying for that view. Staff at reception told us the AC is central for the whole hotel rather than individual units per room, and that this is common across Mallorca. For a 4-star property, this should have been sorted. On top of that, we left a note in the room asking housekeeping to keep the balcony doors closed and the curtains drawn to keep the room cool, yet every single time we returned the balcony doors were wide open and the curtains pulled back - the exact opposite of what we asked. This not only let the heat in, but also compromised the security and privacy of our room. They also repeatedly failed to leave towels, coffee, and milk, and even left dirty glasses and cups in the room. At one point they changed the duvet but left it without a cover, so we weren't happy with the housekeeping service. We were also unhappy with the way the restaurant is run. Every time we got up from the table to grab more food, our plates were cleared within seconds. It constantly felt like they wanted to push us out as fast as possible — a few times they even took our food before we'd finished the last bite. We understand it's their system, but it wasn't pleasant.
