Hotel Bremon by Grup Duquessa

We stayed one night at Hotel Bremon by Grup Duquessa and had an excellent experience. The hotel is very well located, just around a 5 minute walk from the centre of Cardona, making it very easy to go out for some appetizers, dinner or simply enjoy the town in the evening. Our room was impeccable, with a comfortable bed and a very good shower and bathtub. Breakfast was also good, with a fair selection, and is served on the upper floor with lovely views over Cardona, a really nice way to start the day. The hotel is very convenient for exploring the town centre on foot. For the castle and the salt mine, although walking is possible, I would recommend going by car or even better, by bicycle. A special mention to the reception staff, who were extremely friendly and helpful. In particular, Noemí was fantastic. She helped us find places to park and gave us suggestions about what to see and do in Cardona, always with a smile on her face. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again. In fact, we are already thinking about returning to Cardona for one of the town’s festivities, and Hotel Bremon would certainly be our first option.

The bathtub in our room was very good overall, but its surface coating was starting to peel off in some areas, which was a little annoying when using it. Nothing major, but it deserves some attention and maintenance.

Nice clean comfy friendly hotel. Big room and bed. AC surprisingly noisy when it starts up but it goes quiet after a few minutes. Short walk in old town to the square with livery restaurant and bars. Can walk up to castle if you are mobile and the municipal pool nearby is fantastic in the heat for a few euros.

Breakfast was good but a bit pricey for what it was.

Breakfast was excellent. Just the right balance, plenty of fruit and some fantastic cakes to start the day. The coffee machine was actually very good. Free parking opposite the Hotel, the location of the accommodation is in the heart of the Town. Plenty of lovely bars and restaurants to visit.

Air Con system in room 17 was noisy, we ended up turning it off. We were not sent out of hours entry details on our first stay and could not get an answer via the Hotel What's App number. On the second out of hours stay, AlÍcia was very helpful and the information for everything was sent via a PDF. She could not have done more to accommodate our stay.

While the hotel was clean and well maintained, we were disappointed with its location. Access to public transportation was quite difficult, making it inconvenient for getting around. We also did not feel that the surrounding area was suitable for families, especially those traveling with children under 18. When we went outside, the neighborhood did not feel particularly safe, which affected our overall comfort during our stay. For these reasons, I would not recommend this hotel to travelers who are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday experience, particularly families with children.
