This is a nice hotel with good beach access in the summer months. Breakfast was good.

The Grand Hotel Baia Verde Catania stands out for its enduring presence, founded by local entrepreneur Giovanni Salvia and his associates in 1972. The hotel's 50th anniversary in 2022 underscores its lasting impact on the hospitality industry.
Its unique lava-rock coastline setting provides an exceptional seaside experience, including direct sea access, an expansive outdoor pool, and sun-drenched rocks, with the hotel's restaurant celebrated for its stunning views of the Ionian Sea.
While reviewers praise the hotel's distinctive ambiance, some mention that certain aspects may seem somewhat dated compared to newer luxury hotels.
Having stayed at the Grand Hotel Baia Verde as an intern trainee in 1983, I feel incredibly fortunate to return 43 years later.
I am especially grateful that the hotel has preserved so much of its original character—exactly what I had hoped to rediscover. It allowed me to reconnect with a sense of nostalgic charm that, in my youth, I did not fully appreciate.
I am truly thankful for the opportunity to experience it again.

Felt like I was in my grandma's home. Very dated decor, however the cleaning staff are doing a fantastic job keep it alive.
It doesn't need much , the management should rip out the old paintings, put brighter lights and new furniture.

The hotel is below average in everything. The rooms and the bed sheets were not clean, the extra bed was not flat and the mattress were not comfortable also they gave us 2 twin beds although we wanted one double bed because we have a baby who sleeps in the middle. The toilet taps were rusty and the room furniture is outdated, with no balcony. The parking was not convenient as u need to get out of the car amd open the gates with ur room card, and they gave us only one card. U can easily get lost in the hotel corridors as there are no enough signs to the facilities. The breakfast is very limited with no options and sometimes i felt some items are kept from the prev days. The dinner was limited and overpriced as well.Overall I do not recommend.
